I don’t either. I’m just so f***ing distraught. I just had to go through this with Chris Cornell, who was just my favorite singer, so now it’s my favorite singer of my favorite band on Chris Cornell’s birthday!?! I know they were so close. I just am so upset and already so angry. Why, Chester?!

I’ve seen bands like Foreigner in concert, up on the stage all old and gray, but still killing it. I’ve had dreams of seeing Linkin Park in concert like that, when they’re old and gray and just still being badass as all hell. Chester would’ve been ideal in that scenario. I just can’t believe that’s not going to be the future for Linkin Park.

Seeing the chorus from One More Light on here broke me. Just sat and cried. So grateful I got to see him and Linkin Park live in Birmingham two weeks ago. Heartbroken doesn’t describe it.

I’ve been trying to make sense of this for the past couple hours. When I first saw the news hit Twitter I hoped it was an hoax, but it was quickly published on several media outlets until it really looked like it was not fake. Earlier this week I bought tickets to go see LP in Chicago next months, and I entered the Meet and Greet contest. I got to meet Chester briefly a few years ago and I was looking forward to see the band again live again, and to potentially be in the Meet and Greet. And now, a few days later, I hear this news and I’m bewildered. I’m both in denial and in shock, and I can’t wrap my head around it. He just seemed to be doing so great that I don’t understand how he got there. Chester was a brilliant man, a great singer and a kind person. I’m sending good vibes to Mike, Joe, Brad, Phoenix and Rob, and to the rest of Chester’s friends and family. If there is anything that the fans can do to support them in this difficult time, I hope they’ll let us know.
