Oh, I get it
Itās what you get when youāre not paying attention to what youāre typing out.
Lol at the surprised people at the elevator!
Yeah, I bet they werenāt expecting an RC car to come out . Apparently people were asking our chairman (the guy walking around with it to keep an eye on it) if it was following him. He had to explain that there was someone in another room in the tower controlling it.
This is a staple of what we do, cocking around with toys and tech while people give us weird looks.
I was stalking our instagram account a moment ago. Couldāve saved myself the effort of trimming the footage and making the gifs if I knew weād be releasing a video.
Oh well, hereās a video of the first attempt, not using my truck.
I went into work today and they surprised me with a little birthday party, they had balloons for me and cake
Holy smokes Refused is doing a headline tour in Europe including three shows in the Netherlands! Iām so ready for this
Finally got around to building my birthday present. Itās a Porsche 911 RSR. I have to say, I found this build a bit frustrating more than anything. Whoever designed this one was slacking, because itās surprisingly generic beneath the body, lacks significant features and uses a lot of sub-optimal building techniques. I still like it though. This one took me about 6h as I was multitasking.
Size comparison with Banshee.
Just want to understand if this is the final form. The carās rear end, even though open, looks nice but the front seems like it has met with an accident.
Yeah, itās the final form. Itās not my design, itās set 42096. Itās only missing the stickers, because I hate putting stickers on Lego.
I know it is lego especially because it is a very expensive set. For the price, I thought it would be something brilliant. It may be good upclose but at the moment, I feel this set is overpriced. Thanks for proving me correct.
If you think this is overpriced, you should see the old GT3 RS set. All Lego is overpriced.
I checked the price for 42096 in amazonUS and realised that it is being sold in my country at double the price. I couldnt find GT3 there but because of the word āoldā I do not even want to know about it.
If I remember correctly, the GT3 was like Ā£250 or something, but it had cool features like a proper working flappy paddle gearbox. Iād still never get one though. You also have to keep in mind, youāre paying for the Porsche licensing as well, if it was a generic car, itād be much cheaper.
Looks awesome, itās my childhood dream car . Can you drive it as well?
No, itās a mostly static model, it has typical Lego functions like a moving engine, steering and suspension, but no power functions.
Bummer. Otherwise you couldāve held a race between the two
Iād have to power Banshee with a coin cell or something for it to even be a remotely fair race. lol
EDIT: I also canāt be bothered to mod the 911 to fit electronics, despite it being fairly easy.
