Do you think LP went a step too far when the released something like 10 different editions of the same album? I have 8 different editions of MTM and a “clean” CD. It’s a pain to collect all this.

@evooba If I am not mistaken, you are talking about the “Tour Edition”. Right?

8 MTM editions? I only know of 4. Yeap, Tour Edition. I am missing that and the Deluxe edition.

If I counted all that for every album, I’d be looking at at least 1000 more cds that I’d have to get in order to complete my LP collection xD (let’s pretend they’re the same cause I’m already stressing about the ones I’m missing )

I do have to agree with you on that. I have always preferred the special editions over the original CDs as they have more content (at a marginal additional price), and I generally wait for 3-4 months for those editions to be released.
I was stupid and got carried away in 2007. Now I am older and wiser. I don’t buy all available editions. I simply buy the one with the most songs (A new song is preferred over a live version).

Same here. I’m just interested in the special editions that have a dvd of some sort. But as far as MTM is concerned, I want the deluxe version as well. (But it’s pretty rare and expensive)

I was always interested in some more special things than normal CDs (Special Editions, cassettes etc) but it ended up having 4 another versions of Hybrid Theory and another 42 CDs by Linkin Park!

There are loads. Talking only about the albums, RTR & LiT, I think I have appx 35CDs. But these include Acapellas/Instrumentals and “Around the World” series as well.

Since you have counted singles & LPUs as well, I guess I have some advantage here. When I said 35, I meant no singles and no LPU CDs. I will share my list in a bit. Till then can you please confirm the difference:

There are singles CDs as well, but it’s mostly a repeat of @xtirea’s. Also, I don’t collect them anymore. Majority of these CDs are not available in my country and have been bought for me by my friends from different locations.
