Yes, it is that, it makes the soup more creamy

Also ok with that, but less creamy, more watery.

If you have too small amount of water, milk is ok, but we usually use whipped cream (the ones for bdays), because it tastes better

It’s does not matter, select what you’re used to. We use lard, because my husband read somewere that it’s less cancerous in high roasting temperatures.

I happy you liked it!!! If yes, than you sure did it right, next time send a photo!

Yeah, I’m away almost every weekend, but I always reply

Well I didn’t know how to cook until I married, I didn’t like it before. You must have motivation from within, otherwise it will not taste good  My mother in law taught me how to do perfect food (I didn’t expect that  ) And my husband cooks too

I let it boil for some time…so the eccessive water evaporated… I did it to my taste… but it was good! :muscle:
Next time I’ll try with the cream you said… maybe I’ll add more salt or maybe it’s only my impression!

I didn’t let the oil to be burnt…but next time I’ll try with lard… so there will be a next time to do your dish! :yum:

Try the cream, it’s better with it  And don’t be afraid to add more salt at the end, it gets better with more salt. Just be careful to taste it at first, because if the ham is too salty, than no salt is necessary…

I am really happy you liked the soup

We also usually boil the ham until bubbles first, then throw out the water and let it boil to the soup after. If it’s too salty, this solves the problem definitely.

And if you want, you can add dried mushrooms - darning-egg (not sure if the best translation) is best. You can cook them in another pot till they’re soft and add them into the soup along with the water from them.

Mousssaka is a dish I’ve deeply despised ever since I was a kid.

Actually I’ve never eat the meat version when I was younger so I can’t tell if I like it or not…maybe you should try the vegan version? :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol, I mentioned in the past that at a buffet, the vegetables offered in the vegetarian section tastes better than at the normal section.

Promises, promises

Here I go with the recipes some soldiers asked me to post… I’ll post one at a time
First recipe:

Pasta with tomato sauce

Ingredients for the sauce:

Some tomatoes
Salt
A clove of garlic
Olive oil
Chili pepper

How to do it:

Bring some fresh red tomatoes, wash them and put in cold water, put on fire and wait till it boils, then drain them and peel the tomatoes (be careful!! They’re really hot!!).

This operation is needed if you don’t like the peel, like me lol, otherwise you can go directly to the next step…

Bring the tomatoes and cut them a bit according to your tastes… you can do it with a knife or a blender/mixer etc…

Since I usually boil the tomatoes to peel them, they’re already a bit coocked, so after cutting them, I put them in a pot with a clove of garlic, some oil, a bit of salt and chili pepper. There are no quantities because I usually don’t measure them… :grimacing:

During spring/summer I put in the pot some leaves of basil too… but now I haven’t…

So… let the sauce cook a bit at minimum fire… it’s ready when it boils and some water evaporates… BUT I remember you that it’s all according to your tastes and that the tomatoes are easy to cook.

This was a easy/basic sauce!
You can add in it boiled carrots cutted in pieces, onion instead of garlic, minced meet (that needs to be cooked before putting the tomatoes!!), other kind of vegetables… just try what you like!

Also, this one was a sauce with fresh tomatoes, but you can prepare it with tomato puree… it just needs more time to be cooked…

Well…in the end, cook the pasta, dress with the sauce and eat! :yum:

That’s all for now!
Hope you like it @HakManLP @Honey8 @framos1792
 :see_no_evil:

Also @the_termin8r seeeee how you can dress pasta!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
