there are a lot of very uncommon and strange things going on - I guess it’s important to stay calm and rational now- and to not join the toilet paper hysteria

That sucks! I’m waiting on Minnesota i think it’s bound to happen soon here… Most of my town has closed down restaurants or at least made them drive through only, it’s so weird to see this all going on…

Outside of disinfecting (which is basically rendered useless if we’re letting people in the building into lockers and classrooms), the most exciting thing that happened today was having to set up a meeting this morning for administration and whatever teachers were in.
After we set up, we were asked if we could leave the tables in tact, but find a way to space the chairs out so everybody could be arms-length apart from each other so they’re not at risk of contamination. We just left it as is, and let them deal with it.
At least we had all the lights on today, since kids were being escorted around the building for their belongings.
All things considered, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Things are going downhill here as well. From tomorrow work will be minimum and measures have been taken. If the government announces that we need to close I’m basically f*cked. My worst fear is having to move back home, I really hope it won’t come to that.
My uni is now closed too, everything will be done online. Hang in there @NickGr. Are you guys shut yet @the_termin8r?

OT: The worst thing in my job is to not have objectives, and it happened today. I spent one of the worst working day of my life for now. And i had a headache all day (i think it’s because of my computer screen). Now, because i didn’t go out, i’m having insomnia.
I didn’t think that would be hard to stay home but maybe that’s because i don’t have work to do but still have to work make it harder. I’ll take this quarantine / confinement day by day.

good morning family the whole world is affected by the sickness - we all have to deal with partly massive measures that affect at least our privacy and social and working life- short said our whole life, up to that it is an existential problem for some of us too.
That’s a situation that my generation and neither the millennials nor the boomers had ever to deal with. Everybody has to find their way to deal with it, I try to stay positive- because everything else makes it only heavier 
One positive thing is that Mike shows up more and more on sm- yesterday night he was live on IG, talked about the whole situation, his asthma and his boredom due to the shut down. Then he showed some stuff he’s working on atm… was a very positive flow that he brought up there yesterday night. I guess we will get new music quite soon

All right. I’m about to head to work, (had a half day off work due to an interview, which turned out to be pointless since I had the interview then within an hour, I got an email back saying that I didn’t get it) and that included yesterday.
So I’m feeling a bit annoyed so when I’m down, I’m.going to blast rammstein.

It depends on a lot of things. If we close down, I don’t know for how long I’ll be able to pay uni and rent from my savings. I’ll have to see.
OT: Today was alright, went way better than I expected. My manager and owner of the company checked in with me this morning and all seems fine. Let’s see what happens. I’ve my first online lecture later today too, should be interesting.

Hey you all!
Missed a few days writing here and not sure where to start again.
Coming home was quite a shock, let me tumble over some edges again. 
21 days totally off the world.
Yeah, I had read about the changes, but it’s still different.
Felt a little bit like Rick Grimes, waking up in the apocalypse. 
All the people, over reacting, or reacting not enough.
I don’t know, sometimes I wished, I could have it that easy, being sure of my opinion and my actions. I always listen and read lots of different opinions, science reports, conspiracy stuff, mainstreaming and never find a: this is the only right course. Drives me nuts sometimes.
So here all the schools and university are closed. The schools have to provide care for the younger ones, with parents in hospital jobs and so on.
All unnecessary shops and restaurants are closed. In some stores you have to pay with card and if cash write down your address.
My son already did some preventive shopping.
I did go for a little bit more.
My son is all in all really responsible and well informed. He already predicted the school closing as everybody was still laughing.
He also would never go to a Corona party, god, people can be so stupid 
And I think he is quite happy to have me home.

yeah, University + libraries of my University and all the University places and stuff are closed now - so no extra material for my assignments, which I need. I know it’s the right thing, but I get panic, bc can’t do 100% of my stuff. Also I’ve got a writer’s block 
My hometown and Kassel are like ‘on a normal sunday’ - less people and it’s an atmosphere like in Walking Dead or Resident Evil
But besides that, I make the best out of the situation and enjoying my walks and some ‘little things’ like that:
so ‘Frodo, Gandalf, Arwen and Aragorn’ are still with me
Also doing great on my weightloss for the next cheatdays. I reached my goal today, so I could do a cheat day tomorrow, but I’ll wait for the weekend when I’m gonna enjoying some good food and a couple of drinks with my parents (+ playing some games) - so I think I will ‘under the 66 kilogram’ - but no worry, I’m still healthy
but right now I’m enjoying some strawberries and plums, they’re almost good as sweets (but not 100% good as sweets)
and just some more ‘positive things’:
the WEP (weekend post) will still be posted at every Friday - I just need the time to figure out the perfect pictures, songs and lyrics these days (against that corona panic and to get everyone a little bit more power)

Kind of. Administration and some teachers had a couple emergency meeting to try and get a game plan together. Nobody was prepared for a complete shut down. Other school districts in the area? Some were, yes. We were not ready for it. Needless to say, everybody’s scrambling.
Tomorrow at 3 o’clock, the custodians will be the only ones allowed to be on campus. Which is great, it will give us time to decontaminate our building.
We were also told that our in-building staff numbers will also be cut in half. Right now, we’re figuring on stacking our schedules accordingly.
Today started out mundane, then after my lunch break, shit really started hitting the fan. We had to take two full cases of toilet paper out of our store room (we’re running low as it is) and bring them to our superintendent’s conference room (which he’s more than likely taking home with him).
After that, my mom and a couple teachers, and the couple other people working in the office were scrambling to copy packet after packet after packet worth of God knows how much paper work for every single kid in the seven grade levels in the school. I’ve never felt the air in that copy room get so warm.
Then we ran into chaos as the paper was initially placed into the wrong sized envelopes, then each envelope needed to be taken to one room to be weighed and then another room to be stamped before being sent to the post office. THEN, after a while, our local post office told us they weren’t accepting any more outgoing mail from us, so they had to be taken to another post office. That all literally happened at the end of my shift.
I made sure to have at least a little bit of fun today. I made a new sign to hang on our office door.
