Sorry it takes me time to reply I’m quite busy lately.
The hint I was about to give is that “its about time”.
But since It might take up to a week for me to reply ill just give an answer right now.
Its 1,because it’s the amount of gongs a striking clock does,once every half an hour and accordingly to the hour.
So for the hour 3 it’ll give 3 gongs and for 3:30 it’ll give one.
