Look at this one. Beautiful Kia Mohave(love the brand, they make really nice cars). It was out in 2016, but reached Europe and Russia only now. I’ve read the characteristics and… it’s too small. 181 cm height isn’t enough. 4WD, 3l engine, many media functions and some other stuff.
Korean cars have become surprisingly good over the years. I’ve been in the back of a Hyundai i40 estate. The head room was pretty bad in the back, but my god, the leg room was phenomenal, sitting behind my had who is maybe 1.75m I had enough room to stretch my legs fully before I could reach the driver seat, this was about 5 years ago and I was maybe ~1.78m. I reckon if I sat in one now I’d still have loads of leg room.
Kia Carens II(2005) is the only car I know I compeletely fit in😜
My family owns a Mk3 Citroen C5 and the back is quite roomy, I fit just fine. It actually has a better seating position and more head room than a £100K Tesla. You might find it a bit small considering how tall you are @NickGr but it’s a lot better than most cars that people drive.
Nissan Micra 2010 has some surprisingly large place for legs. I was something like 178-180 that time but even my dad(190) compeletely fit in
I’m the tallest in my family so when we look for a car we usually look for room in the back for me Also I’m making it sound like we buy cars regularly but we don’t. I recently saw myself in a family pic from xmas where we were all standing in front of the tree, I genuinely looked like I was standing on a box
No, it was of an actual accident.
Really? It’s always cramped in the backseat, knees rammed against the back of the driver’s seat.
Do you mean in the i40? The driver must be really tall, large saloons don’t tend to have that problem. The last time that happened to me was when I was in the back of a Toyota Aygo. My knees nearly came out of my dad’s chest and my head was halfway through the roof.
No, other cars. When I ride in other people’s car as a passenger, they often like to push the two car seats in the front quite behind. That’s why I prefer to sit in the passenger seat beside the driver, much more spacious.
That tends to happen if they don’t use the back seats often.
@NickGr, that’s the space I have in the back of our car, the pic makes it look a lot smaller than it is but I have about 10-12 cm at my knees.
Speaking of ergonomics: Wolsvaqen Polo (hatchback) has surprisingly large foot space
And Nissan Qahqai 2014 has surprisingly small height and foot space, lol
The last Polo I sat in was the one a couple of models ago, can’t remember anything about it, it was easily 6 years ago maybe more.
Man, you next to that Polo is like Mr. Incredible and his car My chest has never been above the roof of a normal car.
Saw quite a few cars today:
-A lot of Astons (including a DB11 for the first time).
-The current mustang
-A Tesla model X for the first time
-A Jag F type
Highlight of the day:
-McLaren 675 spyder for the first time (I haven’t seen a hard top yet). It was a lot lower and wider than I expected.
More news from McLaren. They’ve released another version of the 570, this one is the 570 Spider. Performance is identical to the 570S (204 MPH, 0-60 in 3.2), it just weighs 15KG more which is quite awesome considering that convertibles are usually miles heavier. Removing the roof makes a car less rigid and engineers usually have to find a way to compensate, however, the chassis in this is so good that very little extra has to be done.
I think it looks amazing (especially in this colour).
The rest of the sports series (the 570 range). The Spider (left), 570 GT (mid) , 570 S (right):
Went out today, not that good a day for car spotting, there were about 3 Loti and a ruined GTR with a revolting reflex green paint job. But the highlight of today was that I saw a DeLorean in person for the first time. This one was red, it looked weird because I’m used to seeing pictures of silver ones. I only saw the back though. Looked like the pic below.
