Aye it was awesome indeed. I was in Watford earlier to get some winter shoes and I took these from the top floor or the car park. One was on the way to the shop one was on the way back about 30 mins later.

This happened after 3 and a bit (by a bit I mean a single run up and down my road) runs. The idler gear completely tore apart the top shaft. Now I gotta get a new one.

Not melted, stripped. If I generated enough heat to melt aluminium the casing (which is plastic) would have gone long before.
