The Tavern - Open 24/7

Really? Oh I’ve been eating those a lot the passed few weeks. Sweet potato fries are quite yummy

I’ve never had sweet potato either. They’re not common here.

I’ve been stuffign my face with nothing but choc for the past 2 days. Also had 2 double cheeseburgers from McDonalds for lunch because they’re so small.

I just ate 3 mini ice cream cones (2 chocolate, 1 vanilla) and I’m not even sorry.

I can’t find anything I want for dinner so I’m eating dry cheerios.

I´m cooking

cause feeling soooo cold temp. change due Barcelona & Munich is min 20°C

I had some noodles with shrimp wontons. Yum.

I haven’t had any decent Asian food lately and I’m kind of dying… my salads are too boring.

I tried making my own mochi but it turned out to be one big sticky goo… It tastes rather good though.

How do you make all these things? Where do you find such ingridients?

I am grateful to live in a town with several oriental grocery stores.

Otherwise I try to look the small Turkish shops to look for Asian fruits and veggies.

If they don’t have what I’m looking for, I thankfully can also try the common bigger supermarkets in the city. They sell [orange] sweet potatoes, bake bananas and the likes with the rest of the more common veggies and fruits

Lucky you then! I can’t find half of the stuff in the big super markets.

Our big supermarkets here are nothing compared to over in mainland Europe. I’ve been to French and German supermarkets and 80% of the stuff there we didn’t have here.

On another note I just devoured 3 packs of Walkers French Fries. Also why is Walkers called Lays in Europe?

No idea, but there are so many flavors out there. We have just the basic 3, it’s so annoying.

I’m finally going to an Asian place tomorrow for lunch (it’s been ages), if we get anything cool I’ll post a photo.

Seriously?

Yeap. Just salt, oregano and sour cream onion (something like that).

Oregano? Are you sure?

The basic Walkers flavs here are:
-Ready Salted
-Salt and vinegar
-Cheese and onion

On another note. I remeber having an off day once and I accidentally read ‘vinegar’ as ‘Vine - gar’ :joy: needless to say I felt like a bafoon

hi guys and Rob and @Gatsie, are youhere? Missed you the past one…lol
Queen of unicorn poop lol :grinning: hi Eva @EvoOba, feel lucky to leave and go to your beloved UK, but: if you and Rob will meet then, post us a pic…[btw: when does “it” aka moving places will happen? If I´m too curious, just let me know, lol…

Hiya @The_early_walker I’m around

I guess Holland is quite multicultural then. Especially the stalls at outdoor market places in Amsterdam and such, represents all sorts of cultures. For some reason I always assumed other countries might have little Asian shops too, because there are Asians living almost anywhere in Europe.

Here the basic chips flavors are:

Paprika, natural [just salt], Cheese & Onion, Bolognese Originale and Patatje Joppie [Fries with a Dutch sauce]

Hmmm… by us it’s like that: bacon, cheese, green onion, salt, paprika, white mushroom. There are also lays max and lays strong.
