Random Poll Thread

Happens quite often to me, but it is because of anxiety cause I stress over pretty much everything so it’s like second nature. I’m used to it by now.

When I wake up like 4 or 5am my mind only thinks of dumb stuff. I hate my brain.

I don’t wake up at 04:00, it’s when I go to bed. I tend to wake up at 12:00 or 13:00 these days. If you were to look up my search history, it’d give you great cause for concern. Last night (this morning when I made the poll), I was searching this up. :joy:

Mine is more I am trying to get some sleep can’t and think of things to until I can sleep again, but I have noticed when I wake up in the middle of the night I will look up stuff , but most of the time I am just playing games

I’m up late all the time for school work or because I am a moron who cannot get on a normal sleep schedule but I would never willingly stay awake with questions about magnets :joy:

Off topic but there was an article talking about earth’s rotation slowing or increasing because of the quarantined around the world

Oh it gets better, I ended up learning about baboons and mandrills a few mins after looking up magnets. Legit. :joy:

How would that work?

No, because I have a technique to prevent these kind of things. Before going to bed, I turn off all devices and put them out of reach. Simple as that

I can’t sleep until I get my answers. I’ve tried resisting in the past, it never ends well. :joy:

The questions that pop up in my head after I go to bed don’t make me get up. Just the opposite - they make me sleep. But they are not the questions that could be answered by Wikipedia.

:joy: Then maybe you should try to find a way to shut off the questions. Dare I say, maybe try meditation?

Same for me, but they don’t make me fall asleep

Meditation only serves to piss me off, the exact opposite of what it’s meant to do. :joy:

Maybe you’re doing it wrong. Don’t know what you’ve heard so far, but all you need to do is close your eyes, sit or lie comfortably and notice any thoughts or feelings coming up, without judging them. Point is to distance yourself from these thoughts and feelings and become the observer (of yourself), thus becoming relaxed. All the while you focus your attention on your breathing, which will stimulate the breath to relax as well.

I’m often calmed by heavy music, I feel physically uneasy moving slowly, regardless of whether I’m walking or riding in a car. Walking slowly for me means walking manually, it’s like breathing manually. As for being in a car, I prefer to cruise at a minimum of 90 MPH, it’s why I like Germany so much. :joy:
