Yeah, I have to say, I usually modify something old to keep use it if it’s possible (and not ridiculous in some way)… sometimes I modified something new, because I like it but not completely… Like adding buttons on a shirt or sewing something on it or adding pocket or modify a bag…just as example… :grin:

Nothing’s wrong about it if someone is skillful enough.

I hate throwing things away. So I try to find ways to make them fit, modify them. Especially furniture.

And I love modifying recipes.

Trackpad I had to Google again. If it also means the pad installed in the laptop, than yeas, I use trackpad. Don’t have no mouse.

Trackpad at home, mouse at work.

I can’t stand the trackpad for anything, and my laptop has one of the better ones on Windows. My sister’s HP has a horrific trackpad, when I tap it, the cursor jumps across the screen, it doesn’t have gesture control, and half the time I touch it it does nothing (like ferocious palm rejection). Though that’s partly down to HP’s refusal to use Windows Precision Drivers for some reason, they stick with the god aweful Synaptics crap. I’m surprised you can tolerate your trackpad @evooba.

Also, try using something like Fusion 360 with a trackpad, it’s damn-near impossible. Trackpads are way too inefficient and imprecise for me.

It does.

I’m happy with my trackpad. But I don’t play games or anything else. At the beginning I wanted a mouse, but I never came to baying one. Now I’m so used to the trackpad, I miss nothing. My laptop is now 7 years old, an Aldi carrot, still windows 7 and I so wish for a longer life.
Last week I used may brothers laptop, the trackpad was catastrophic, in the few minutes I used it, I wonted to throw it out the window!

What laptop does he have?

I will ask.
@the_termin8r
it’s a Thinkpad t440

Thinkpads are great laptops. But why would you use the trackpad and not the nub?

Nub? I don’t know. I was just on it for a few seconds, finding a YouTube link. And way exactly my brother dislike it, I also don’t know. We weren’t that deep into laptop talk. :upside_down_face:

aye, that’s my point, any Autodesk package would be hell to use with the trackpad and I definitely agree some are just terrible, though I’ll say I’ve been using mine more often now on this laptop than the previous one but as a shortcut to cycle through open windows, to minimize, maximize etc which I don’t even think was possible with my previous one… I gave up on HP like 10 years ago lol

because its annoying as hell :joy:

if only you were a mod… lmao imagine the chaos
