Nice!! But the last gif… oops!

Yep it really does… i remember the hard work the @the_termin8r had to be into for fixing them… it looks awesome now!:blush:

Okay. Which part of the RC? :no_mouth:

The motor fans, they’re the first thing to take a hit when I over-do a wheelie or flip over. I was never happy with them, they were high RPM but didn’t shift much air, also they were too small and the plugs came soldered on in reverse polarity. That’s what I get for ordering from China I guess.

So this was an awkward typo I just caught :joy: :joy: :joy: .It was supposed to say shift.

Look so Awesome with lights

The funny thing is that I didn’t buy them for looks, I added them to help me see where the truck is in the winter when it gets almost pitch black at 16:00. I added 4 extra LEDs more recently as part of the V6 wave of upgrades.

My new fans just came in. Now I need for the other heatsink to come in, find a new mounting point for the camra and to design the wheelie bar. I’m considering this to be the stat of the Post Mods V7 phase.

I’ve started thinking of designs for the wheelie bar, my dad is helping me on this one. We’ve decided to go for a ball bearing (or 2) mounted to a metal plate. We haven’t worked out the details yet.

In other news I tried to sort my camera issue by seeing if I can mount just the lens somewhere with a good POV and then have the camera down in the truck, unfortunately I found out that the sensor was directly soldered to the PCB as opposed to being part of the lens like on some cameras I’ve seen. I’ll have to think of a different approach.

Camera positioning is always difficult isn’t it

You know the most annoying thing? I was considering buying one of those cylindrical ones but I bit the marketing bullet when I read that this one was 4K. Turns out it’s 4K at 25FPS, at least I get 1080 at 60. But I can’t complain much for £40.

Damn that’s evil marketing. Still decent quality indeed, I hope it’ll serve you well

Progress report:

I picked up some compressed air today. Did a quick test for the flamethrower V3 setup I’m planning. This is a massive improvement over the deodorant. I need to find time to come up with the rest of the system though (mainly the positioning).

Also I’m still working on Banshee and I took on yet another project in uni. This one is an exclusive one though; me and 5 other friends are working with one of our lecturers to build a Tesla coil kit for the next uni open day in March.

That’s a flamethrover! Better than the deodorant…more flame… :star_struck: :fire:

The deodorant also ran out quickly. I could only use half a can at a time because I had to mount it sideways. I could have done it vertically but it would have been a worse design with the nozzle up high which made servo placement a nightmare. The compressed air has to be vertical but upside down so I am going to try and make the design as compact as possible with low servos that are hopefully down in the car. I want to make it as concealed as possible too.

On your site you wrote that the chassis is made of wood ( or am I confusing things?) …but with the fire you should change it or no??

The V1 and V2 were both mounted on a plank of wood which in turn was mounted to the body. I initially used a disposable metal biscuit tray to flameproof the front of the plank but it proved unnecessary as the flames didn’t go there. Also I’m surprised anyone goes to my site.

Because it’s just another place for people to have to go to, also I post most of the same stuff here.

Thanks
