As someone said in other site, they just “stopped being the same Transformers edgy band” and getting more stylish for their music xD

Lol. I feel like they really haven’t ever been the same band since about 2007. Since then, they have been ever changing and evolving. I feel like that’s why not a lot of people jump in their boat anymore and why they’re not so popular with the mainstream anymore because people don’t want to “invest” in something that’s “risky.” You never know what you’re gonna get from their next album, but honestly, even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of “The Hunting Party,” I respect them SOOOOO much as a band and as individuals for going big or going home. Of course, they are in a position where they’ve established a dedicated fan base that might stick with them through thick and thin, so they can take these risks, but they’ve cracked the code that “honest music is successful music.” Their dedicated fans want the honest music, not the cookie cutter music of their formula they had in the early years (not to diminish the awesomeness of Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora because Hybrid Theory will always be my favorite album of theirs). Hence why I’m so excited about this album because if this is their most “honest” album to date, we’re in for a whirlwind and that’s just so f***ing exciting!!!

The fact they got rid of that 18 months deadline for every album has a lot to be on this one. They are not rushed anymore, they had most the control to work as they wanted now
