"One More Light" Mega-Topic, Out Now!

I like the genres of living things. Their songs get me pumped up.

A Thousand Suns and Living Things are my least favorites, but I wouldn’t say I hate them, I just don’t find as much interest in them as the others. My order is probably:

  1. Hybrid Theory
  2. Meteora
  3. The Hunting Party
  4. Minutes to Midnight
  5. Living Things
  6. A Thousand Suns

Minutes to Midnight and The Hunting Party might deserve to be swapped

My order, since we’re doing that now, would be:

  1. The Hunting Party
  2. A Thousand Sins
  3. Minutes To Midnight
  4. Meteora
  5. Hybrid Theory
  6. Living Things

I’ll be judged but

  1. M2M
  2. ATS
  3. LT
  4. THP
  5. Meteora
  6. Hybrid Theory

OML will probably be up near top at this point
Though it’s all very interchangeable for me depending on the day
I’ve liked their lighter stuff but there’s days where the heavy rock feels perfect
One exception would be in the end has to be way at the top of any list for me haha

It looks fun so I’m going to do that too: My favorite is

  1. Hybrid Theory (of course)
  2. Meteora
  3. Minutes to Midnight
  4. Living Things
  5. A Thousand Sun
  6. The Hunting Party

I though I was on the favourite LP album topic Lol

No but we were talking about our favorite one , but some one should make a thread for it though.

To be honest, from what we’ve heard so far and assuming the rest of the album will be that way, One More Light might be my least favorite. I like Heavy and Battle Symphony more than some other songs on other albums, but I don’t think I’ll enjoy an entire album like that. Who knows at this point, though

I think it exists already, I feel I’ve made a similar list like that before. It just happened to be somewhat relevant to the current discussion

I think I’ll do when Im on the mood as I’ve done with other albums. As you guys said, music is subjetive and I really agree on that. And I use to play different music when Im working. People say it’s an exercise for creativity, inspiration and stuff.

I’m sure I’m gonna like OML. A lot of changes happen mow in my life, so I definitely support LP’s changes in music) also, I think OML will be on top for me among all the albums.
I want to hear Sorry for Now so bad😭 especially, if it’s LP feat. Blackbear

I feel the same way about this. Two singles within a month of each other is really too soon imo…

SAME HERE!! Dude, me and you must have similar LP tastes or general music tastes. I almost loved Living Things more than Hybrid Theory, but Hybrid Theory stays my #1 cause it’s what got me hooked on LP in the first place.

Every album is so different from each other I am unable to compare and rank them. It’s really strange but I can connect to every song of theirs nearly the same. They have either erased their identity from the style they started with or have broadened their identity to so many styles that give a feel of their own. Still, I can find something common in all of their songs that I can’t classify or name… but can tell that it’s them. Maybe it’s the passion and confidence in everything they try that is done with the belief that they already belong to every genre.

Anyway, if any one asks for my favourite song and album, I will give them an ā€˜in the end’ and ā€˜hybrid theory’ only because I first knew them from that song and never heard anything from/about them before that

Omg! Speaking of music being subjective. My jaw just dropped reading your opinion of ā€œUntil It Breaksā€ and ā€œRoads Untraveled.ā€ I love both of those songs so much. ā€œUntil It Breaksā€ is a super unique song with a dope beat, lots of attitude from Mike, choral harmonies, and an unorthodox song structure. There are so many little sound effects and instrumentation in there that keep the song interesting to the ear. And ā€œRoads Untraveledā€ is another unique one which a great message, experimental sounds, and well-written lyrics (though, I do think they probably could’ve done something more than just ā€œWoah oh oh woah oh ohhhā€). To each their own. :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn I felt the same after reading that.

Wow. Our tastes are nearly complete opposite. My order is:

  1. Hybrid Theory
  2. Living Things
  3. Meteora
  4. A Thousand Suns
  5. Minutes to Midnight
  6. The Hunting Party

I bought the ā€˜Just Give me Everything’ bundle and it says on the store that I get a download of Battle Symphony but I didn’t get an email about it or any link that I can get it like with Heavy, so I’m not sure /.\

Doing this for the hell of it
1)ATS
2)HT
3)Meteora
4)THP=MTM
5)LT
