"One More Light" Mega-Topic, Out Now!

What I liked about BS is the vibe, It does not sound really poppy on the typical style, I feel some Fort Minor influences on the song.

“Good Goodbye” features Pusha T and Stormzy: both are rappers.

Two new rappers and Mike wont rap here. I can hear people’s hate on the distance already.

It is true, Amazon recently changed the song to add these features. You can read all about it at LPA’s website . Same here, I saw Pusha T and immediately thought of Recharged

I actually don’t mind Pusha T. I hated Recharged but his rap on the I’ll Be Gone remix actually was decent. None the less, I am still not that intrigued though for this new album.

Now people will be complaining about too much rapping hahah

I sent an email to staff about the Amsterdam promo, I hope that they will respond

Is it confirmed Mike won’t rap on that song?

Its confirmed he wont rap on the album lol

No rap from Mike? What’s the deal with that?

Really? I thought he said he rapped less and sang more. Doesn’t that mean he raps in the album?

STORMZY ON A LP SONG? If this is true then I MUST hear it! Stormzy is awesome!!

BUT I have a feeling it isn’t true.

Mike will be rapping on Good Goodbye, that’s been confirmed by Chester. Could be the only song with rap, there could be more: that we have yet to find out.

Well, that is true, maybe he meant less rap.
I want to hear the one where Chester raps
I want to hear 2 songs. Which, I think, will be my favorite - Good Goodbye, and Sorry for Now. May be one more - Invisible. Well, one more - One More Light
May be LP will combine LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent/One More Light for their shows :joy:

I’m just gonna say something about pop music as a whole… The lyrics are not the reason why pop music, or any music for that matter, is bad. The lyrics are a contributing factor to the overall enjoyment of a song. That goes for all music. There is so much more to music than lyrics! I wish the general public would look at music as more than just words or more than just sounds. I see almost nobody who actually talks about the sound and the lyrics together and how they work together.
Yes, lyrics are important. But a song with a great message isn’t automatically good. And a song with no message isn’t automatically bad. Sometimes lyrics have to be overlooked. Like with Battle Symphony, the lyrics are basically a new form of Fight Song by Rachel Platten. But the instrumentation is good, the melody is good, and the overall sound is good. But the lyrics aren’t that great. However, I can look past that to enjoy the song as a song. But it wouldn’t go the other way around. If the music is insufferable, or even just bad or bland, you can’t enjoy it just because the lyrics are stellar. I feel like often times people try to force themselves to like a song just because it has a good message. But you shouldn’t. And don’t stop yourself from enjoying a song just because the lyrics aren’t great. Yes, lyrics can ruin a song. But only if they’re cringey or just laughably bad. Average lyrics don’t ruin a song. Bad lyrics ruin a song. Explicitly bad lyrics. That’s just my opinion, though. You may disagree.
