Gotta correct you on two things: First, Recharged doesn’t count as a studio album. That shit is abysmal and should be cast into Oblivion. Second, Minutes to Midnight is FANTASTIC. It’s their most heartfelt album ever, very very genuine and personal.

Οk, won’t count Recharged, remixes are out of the question. MTM was good, I like a lot of songs on it and I feel like it’s better than LT in so many ways but still, they remain my bottom two albums of theirs. They’re not very strong in my eyes, even though MTM was a huge sucess for some odd reason.

LIVING THINGS and Hybrid Theory are my two least favourites. Living Things felt like a lack of creativity and the lyrics are pretty cringey on One Step Closer. And I just don’t like Forgotten or Cure For The Itch. Every other Linkin Park album I love front to back though.

Wow, finally someone who doesn’t like HT that much. I’m with you. It’s a great debut album, has very strong songs but it’s not my favorite either, I consider THP way better.

We’re so killing this thread right now.

Hybrid Theory is definitely a great debut album, but yeah, doesn’t hold up well with time. Bunch of angry kids. THP is a better album, then again it may just be a maturity thing.

Don’t need to. We know the producer, we know some of the talent helping them, and we’ve seen two things they’ve done in the studio so far. Not saying the album will suck, but it’s definitely a step in the other direction from THP, and more toward the direction of Living Things (most people’s least liked album).

You can’t know with like 10sec of audio they upload on their Instagram every once in a while what the sound of the album is like. Nor can we judge what they’re writing based on who they’re working with. We don’t even know in what extend the collaborations are happening. As for the random jam sessions, it’s how they have fun in the studio, everyone needs an impromptu jam session once in a while, especially when new equipment is around.
