Although they have 10 songs, they may be 10 really really good and powerful songs (or 9 if you don’t like Heavy).

Its definitely not my favorite but it is not my least favorite. Linkin Park will always be my fave band of all time for certain reasons (don’t feel like typing that story) but that doesn’t mean I like everything nor does that mean they are CURRENTLY my fave band. They are taking A LOT of SHIT everywhere which I saw coming. It’s not surprising they took the same SHIT on Burn it Down and A Thousand Suns. The only thing I hope for is one outlier song that has a rock feel with a Chester scream or two. And definitely some more guitars! I am curious about the live stream because apparently there are other surprises besides the performance.

The lyrics and the singing are good, but the music is very cheap and generic. LP have always made short albums, and for them to make them even shorter is so sad. The 3 years it took between THP and OML are still shorter than the time between Meteora–MTM–ATS. But still a long time. I’m very conflicted about the song. I love ATS and LT, but if OML sounds generic like Heavy, I’m not sure. I just hope the song doesen’t end up being played all over and be a hit song. LP’s music are not really being played much on radio etc… which is nice. I don’t like it if LP is on top lists and such.

I can’t begin to explain how disappointed I am. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this about something they’ve released. Even my dad (long time fan) didn’t know what to say, and he always has a good excuse about anything bad they release.
And then, the title and that artwork? It’s just ewwww. And I don’t understand why a LPU membership is included in the pre-orders. I don’t want an extra year.

I suppose his voice needs to rest sometimes but there should be at least one good scream in the album somewhere

Hopefully the album as a whole will be a better we will see and if it’s all disappointing we will wait another 3 years just waiting till may 19
Also, I do want to mention that I’m totally ok with a band taking risks and changing their sound. But this is something I just can’t get my mind around. I’m hoping the album as a whole will be better, but I can definetely say that I’m not excited anymore.

I was hoping to hear more Mike’s rapping, but in his interview he said that he’s rapping less and singing more. This album definitely will be unusual. I’m really looking forward to hear it

It’s something different as usual but it grows on you the more you listen
I do hope it gets airtime to get their name out there again in force
My only issue was kiiaras voice being too strong on the song
Whether it’s auto tune or double voiced, it overwhelms chesters vocals in the later parts of the song
They just sang burn it down together (Chester and kiiara) stripped down and she has a great voice that didn’t have to be enhanced or changed and their voices melded much better together in that live performance
I didn’t like thp all that much at the beginning and lately it’s what I’d listen to if theirs
Even hybrid theory was an experiment for them it hadn’t been done before so it wasn’t that that was their roots
It probably won’t be my favorite song either but I do like it
