The S series is starting to fall off a cliff as well. They dropped the jack with the 20. Mine has survived a lot.
Yeah the old version of S series are way better than the new ones… the body also looks tougher lol the new ones seem to look a little fragile
The metal frame around the outside of mine is the chassis. It’s machined aluminium and goes all the way through the phone with the screen mounted on one side and the battery and electronics on the other side.

I really want to bash it and people who bought one, but I can’t because I don’t want to look like a massive hypocrite given my recent purchase. 
Well, I’m upgrading to one so…
What purchase, what did I miss?
It’s not that much of a jump from your XR. I don’t see the point. Look at me, I still run a smashed S7 because apart from the ruined back, it works just fine. I’m still getting 40h+ on a 4 year old battery with max brightness and in performance mode.
But like I said, I’m in no position to talk about spending stupid amounts of money on tech for at least the next few months.
I’m upgrading my laptop as my current one is starting to struggle with some of the stuff I throw at it.
Yeah, it’s not that big of a deal but my dad needs a new phone cause he’s legit done with his so… and I don’t get to pay the full price anyway so it’s ok, I’m only going to pay about £650.
Damn, that’s a lot for a laptop… a lot in general 
But you make the most out of it so it’s fine.

An equivalent desktop isn’t that much cheaper. This laptop will put most desktops (short of outrageous gaming rigs and the likes) to utter shame. I wanted to go for 16TB storage, but don’t want to spend £2.8K just in SSDs.
