My/her/his/your phone

Since the last one I posted, I had no abrupt power loss anymore. :woman_shrugging: :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, like I said, for some reason, it clears up in a few days. No idea why it happens.

Heard about the new iPhone SE today, decided to give it a look. Saw the price and actually had hope that they have made a decent phone for once…and then I saw the specs :joy:. That thing is legitimately worse than my 4 year old S7 (well, not my smashed up one, but you get it :stuck_out_tongue: ). A 1.8Ah battery? That’s alsomost as atrocious as my previous S3 mini. :joy:

Happend again. Yesterday too.
It probably has to do with the cold temperature.
8°C, and with the wind way colder.

Given that the initial drop isn’t a brick wall like you typically get, I’d wager it was the temp that affected it. Although, the final drop is weird.

Right now

Have you tried looking this up on Google? This isn’t normal at all.

Hm, did it. But with the first research brought nothing besides replace the battery.
Today I was using the phone constantly, then put it in my pocket at somewhat under 50%. Got it out probably 5 minutes later and it was at 1%.

Why people insisit on using phones for anything other the phone calls is beyond me. I just got off a ~20 min call with my dissertation supervisor and the surface temp of my phone was 40℃.

Wow, mine doesn’t even reply to emails!

My supervisor is great, surprisingly laid back, doesn’t micro-manage me or breathe down my neck, leaves me to my own devices. If I need help, he knows that I know he’s there. He just wants to know that I’m on track. Our weekly meetings typically last 5 mins, this one was 20 because I haven’t been in a meeting with him for a while.

I thought you got your email troubles sorted?

4 years old and I managed to break the 60h mark on max performance mode with semi-regular daily use the other day.

I had a day with data switched off and not much phoning. In the evening I was still at over 80%, what a difference. And with that damaged battery.
I will replace it tomorrow.

Data eats your battery like crazy. I keep mine off unless I need it. I also have a limit, so there’s that too.

Nice, how many cycles in are you? Performance should stabilise a few cycles in. Also, is it the stock capacity of 3Ah?

I don’t know. Did go to the shop yesterday morning. Said, please, replace. Got it back 2 hours later. Paid 50 bucks.
It was then round about 60 %.
Later, during my first call, the phone switched off right in the middle. Totally shut down. It came on on his own a few moments later, befor I pressed anything.
Made me worry.
But hadn’t happen again.
Charged it once during the night.

Keep an eye on it. If it behaves weirdly, go back an complain.
