LPU SUMMIT IN Camden, NJ!

Yeah the comfort inn is the cheapest of the 3, but doesnt have the view and services the other two have, but recent reviews showed comfort inn was decent and its the least impact on your pocket lol. We could all get comfort inn rooms, I think I might go with the hyatt or penns for the view though, over the water and the bridge at night, plus jacuzzi baths, make it more of a vacation type thing for myself and my daughter lol

hey I’m not complaining…free breakfast and free shuttle to the venue…usually I would take Amtrak…this year I thing I might do Bolt Bus…possibly $30 round trip…

take me with you

How many people are planning on getting a hotel room? If there is enough of us, we might be able to get a group rate. Let me know who is planning on staying overnight and I can call a couple places to see if they’ll offer a special rate for us.

I’m possibly going to the Six Flags in New Jersey on the Wednesday with a bunch of friends. Then planning on getting a hotel room for the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I’m looking for a cheap hotel since I’m a college kid on a budget, haha. Also, I might be by myself so if you guys do a big group thing, just let me know! I’ve yet to meet a fellow LPU member and cannot wait to meet all of you! =D

I’m not sure if I’ll find a friend who can make it with me to the summit since I can only buy one ticket and they’re already sold out. I’ll also attend the concert. So, I’ll probably join the group if you’re making one. btw, I’m coming from Tucson

OMG!! I just realized that I am in America visiting a friend that week! I missed out on the sale and she lives only 30 minutes away! I am crying right now! Really!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, can’t go to LPU summit, BUT I called my friend in US and she said: “but we can go to the concert! I like LP too” AAAAAAAAAAH!!! So yeah  I’m going to a concert THERE \o/ What a great year

I know I will be, no way am I driving 10 hours with out getting some sleep at some point lol.

[quote=Holden][quote=J_Callahan]There are actually several ways. By far the quickest to get from NYC to Philadelphia is by using Amtrak. Only takes about 1 1/2 hrs depending and doesnt cost too much.
Once you reach the 30th street station in Philly, you can either:
Take a cab. It’ll most likely cost between $15 and $30. But sometimes cabs won’t cross state lines and if they do there might be an additional fee.
You can take the 21 bus to Penn’s Landing or SEPTA Market-Frankford(blue) line to 2nd Street and take a short walk to Penn’s Landing… from there you can catch the ferry to the Camden waterfront.
From the 30th street station you can walk or take the 21 bus to the 15th-16th street Patco Line. Take that to the Broadway(Walter Rand Transit Center) station. From there you can either walk down Martin Luther King Jr Blvd to the venue or for a safer way you can immediately at the same station transfer to the NJ Riverline which leaves you off right in front of the venue.

Hope this helps everyone out, if you havent figured it out already. If me, the wife, and father in law end up meeting with some of you before the summit I have one extra seat in my car.
Has anyone ever thought of meeting at a central location in NYC, finding someone who has a license, and renting a van that can hold like 10-12 people. It’s actually pretty cost effective if you can get the van full.

I think they will give us group rates, we should probably make a new thread, maybe I will do that when I get home, get a thread going, see how many people and what nights, I would say thurs and friday nights for sure, and comfort inn, penns landing or the hyatt, thats the best spots, safe, good rates, things to do in old town and take the ferry, park the car at the hotel, all should work out. In the new thread we can keep track of names, who is going and exchange numbers, txt each other when were there and meet up.

Sounds good!

Sounds good to me! That way we can give the hotel an exact number of rooms if they need a minimum for group rates. I’ll keep an eye out for the thread!

Me and my girlfriend managed to get summit tickets and we’re both so excited! We originally bought tickets to the Auburn Hills show as it was the closest to us (We’re from Toronto). But when they announced the summit we knew we couldn’t miss it! So we’re going to have a crazy week full of a ton of driving with 2 LP shows and a summit! Can’t wait to see you all there!

Would love to meet the two of you!

Met a ton of people in Cali when I went there last week and we were one of the few lp crazed couples there! We love them so much and am so glad we share something so great like LP!

Are you staying at one of the hotels we were all discussing? I’m happy to stay anywhere where we can all possibly hang for a nightcap or breakfast!

I’m going to the Auburn Hills show too! I’m from windsor, happy to see I won’t be the only Canadian at the Summit!

Yeah it’s great having the same taste in bands and both being able to get tickets to the summit. We are both super excited and can’t wait for the experience.

We haven’t figured out where we are staying or anything yet but we’d love to hang out with the group for whatever is planned. It should be a great time!

Yup you won’t be the only one there! I can’t believe we’re driving so much in such a short period of time but I can’t wait to see 2 shows!

I have a thread set up for people staying over night, to get group number and group rate, it is the hyatt in philly, on the water, and had ferry over to the summit and concert camden NJ, so easy access. Going to be great, so far 7 or so rooms needed, going to let people post until next saturday to find how many rooms we need and then get a group rate with a Group ID number to reserve at the HYATT. We can meet at the hotel, and after, before ect, thurs, friday nights people will be there. Post in other thread if interested and we will all also exchange phone numbers to connect with each other.
