LIVING THINGS Release Day Challenge - LP fans Listening Party

Hey guys,
So I’m sure most of you read Mike’s blog post (for those that didn’t: http://mikeshinoda.com/2012/06/06/living-things-release-day-challenge/) and although it is great to listen with friends, some of us, like myself don’t have friends that really like Linkin Park or wouldn’t enjoy a listening party like I would. So I thought, maybe we could organize our own listening parties doesn’t necessarily have to be LPU members but I’d thought I’d start here to ask if people would want to do this. I know there’s lots of members in my area but there’s trouble reaching out to them so I thought I’d start here and ask. It would be nice if Linkin Park would post about this to reach out to other fans, of course it might be hard for LP to actual reserve a place but fan-hosted listening parties maybe could work all we need is to spread the word and if Linkin Park did that–I think it’d help a lot!

But first is anyone interested in this? I know I would love to meet new fans especially in my area!

Which cities could we do this? We’d need someone to be ‘host’ or ‘leader’ in each city.

I’m in Houston so if there’s any fans in Houston that want to do this that’d be awesome!

I think the idea is nice :slight_smile: I’m organizing a little listening party in Lisbon. It’s just me and maybe 3 or 4 other LPUers, but we had that idea a few hours ago and thought we should get together, buy the album at the store and then go to someone’s place and listen to it. It might be a small thing, but it will be nice :smiley: Hope you guys have some nice stuff in your cities too!

We Japanese can get on 20th.
I want to have a party with soldiers of the world!

I love the idea, but I’m not sure if I can do it; I’m going to be in London the 26th, unless I bring it with me and listen to it somehow, so I’m not entirely sure…

Awesome guys! This is a place where people can gather and maybe get to know more fans, it’s just an idea i mean in our groups big or small we can take pics, videos, etc and send them to Mike like he said in his blog post! I mean it could be like a LIVING THINGS day or something we can all hang out then do a listening party!!

This sort of reminds me of the Hybrid Theory 10 year anniversary we tried to do, gather fans in one place then take pics, video, etc. never happened though… :confused: so maybe this can work we just need people to gather :smiley:

I am hosting a listening party in New Brunswick, New Jersey and a group are going to the movie event at 7PM at a movieplex 20 minutes from me. Party starts a midnight on the 26th. Message me for details.

The Griffith Observatory if anyone is interested. My Wife and I will be there wearing our LPU11 Shirts. We’ll be sitting on the lawn in front of the building :slight_smile:

We Japanese is a plan to gather in Tokyo!At least 5-6 Japanese friends will gather!
