It means exactly what it says . The bed of the printer (the plate onto which the head prints) needs to be parallel to the X-axis gantry (the ‘rail’ on which the head moves), so that there’s a uniform distance between the nozzle and the bed.
If the distance isn’t the same then the print won’t come out well. If it’s too close, you risk blocking the nozzle and the filament will ‘ooze’ out sideways because you’re crushing it. If it’s too far then you’ll be printing into the air and the print won’t stick to the bed.
I do a test print every time I re-level the bed to make sure I got it right. If something goes wrong with the print, I know how to adjust.

Today’s daily (nightly?) update:
When I started this I didn’t think most of this was going to be possible, but it’s mostly done at this point. I’m going to have to randomly assign the icon beside the names somehow since you can’t pick them, text formatting isn’t going to be possible, joining and leaving messages might be possible but tricky

@theearlywalker Yeah, he’s streaming making music, new instrumental every time he does. He also streams on YouTube and some other sites, but Twitch is the chat that he seems to watch
@evooba I’d love to see some of the screenshots, both because I’m interested in what moments you saved but also there aren’t many screenshots online that aren’t resized or low quality

Tonight’s update:
It kinda looks like a bit of a set back in some ways to be honest. Red was removed from the moderator names in the user list because I had to completely redo the user list to get the welcome and leaving messages to work. The font color thing is missing because I forgot to save my work last night after adding it and lost that.
Added the icons by each name with some weird math to make them consistent to a person’s name and not random, but also different for each person. It makes a number based on adding the position of the first two letters in the name, last two letters in the name, and the length of the name together, then divides that by 32, the remaining number assigns whatever number icon. It sounds complicated, but it’s honestly kinda dumb
Edit: Apparently Twitch’s user list doesn’t update right when people join either. That kinda makes things annoying

In action with more people. The leave/join messages are definitely happening in bulk, like 20 of each at once every few minutes when Mike is here. Userlist seems to cap at 200 for some reason (aside from moderators)?

This helps me a lot, some small details I missed because they were too blurry in other pictures. I also forgot Chrome looked like that at one time, kinda miss that. I can probably make the chat transcript button work too, would you be able to show me an example of what they looked like?
Did Mike ever end up doing art shows outside California?

Yeah, I had to re-start my old computer to find that screenshot, it’s crazy. That specific chat was late 2009, 11 years ago… I kind of miss it, I miss having these chats, especially when they were moderated like this one and everyone got a chance at asking a question. I wish I had screenshots of a surprise chat he did, it was me and one more person in the room at the time.
The transcripts are just word documents with endless pages of whichever chat was on, they’re not even dated. And I don’t think he ever did a show outside the US… he only did that canvas painting in Honk Kong during the PT tour as far as I remember.
I guess I’m just interested in the formatting of the transcript, like if it included welcome/leaving messages, how it wrote the messages out. If you already turned the computer off it’s not a big deal though, the Twitch chat doesn’t hold a ton of messages at once
The program I used doesn’t do transparent backgrounds I guess, so I have to redo these
