You said to tag you when there’s Apple bashing. LOL
The issue is that the laptops have a chip that cooks itself and each chip is coded specifically for each machine. So you can’t replace it. That means that your multi-thousand pound laptop is forever dead because not even Apple themselves can fix it. That means that you lose all of your data too, becuase the drive is soldered to board and they removed the lifeboat connector which lets you get to the drive in just such a scenario.
The point is, Apple have a habit of royally fucking over their zealous drones and they just bend over and come back for dry seconds. He’s basically saying it’s all their (the drones’) fault for letting Apple get away with it. And he’s right.
Again, I ask why. I quite genuinely want to know, becuase my mind just cannot objectively find a reason why they’re better than the next tech company that makes laptops.

Also the ‘genius’ (genius compared to an American, perhaps ) flat out lied and said the board was water damaged when it was pretty much spotless.
It was the first self explaining device that I (as absolutely technology idiot) could handle without any manual - aka a user friendly surface and almost intuitive controling - plus I made only the best experiences with their service- that’s why… but I am just referring to their phones…

I’ll give you that about their mobile devices, however, the moment you try to do something more serious or bigger, you realise that they’re badly lacking in some basic features. Then there’s something that I’ve done that I thought to be intuitive and it either did nothing or the complete opposite. I suppose it’s because they expect you to use it as they gave it to you and don’t want you fiddling with settings. They have this God complex that makes them think they sell perfection when they just don’t.
I don’t however think that any of that justifies their stupidly inflated prices for objectively inferior hardware.

I agree- there’s something like a brand hype that surely has to to with the high prices and the products as a kinda status symbol - but for me this all died when Steve Jobs (rip) did…

Aah okay, thanks for explaining. That’s so typical, doesn’t even surprise me anymore. They’ll gladly force their customers to buy an entirely new device just because of minor issues like these.
Gotta admit I agree, something I admired about the iPod Touch back in the day.

The issue isn’t minor. It’s also them trying to slowly phase out Intel from their products. The chip isn’t necessary as the CPU has the ability to do what that chip does essentially. That’s how it was in previous designs.
