My record player is from 1984 - what are the chances it’s a vinyl destroyer?!?!?!
Hope not, cos I just spent $$$ on a pre-amp for it!
Speaking about vinyl players - need to replace the needle in ours. We’ve got it working, it’s my grandparents’ radio with vinyl player, apperantly 35-40 yrs old

I don’t have one either. I don’t have space for one. Plus all the vinyls I have are back in Greece.

I must confess I skipped it to have vinyls - all what they gave me was anger 
I couldn’t handle them without making scratches- so I don’t owe a recordplayer logically

I don’t have one either. I’ve never heard the difference between digital and vinyl, but I’m curious if vinyl truly sounds better

Oh wow I love old stuff - that must look super retro. Oh wait, hang on - that’s how old my one is…and it doesn’t look retro at all 
I hate how you have to flip it over every 3 songs - but I love the sound of the needle hitting the vinyl, and it’s so…crisp. But I’m no audiophile - so I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if blindfolded…

You will only be able to tell the difference if you have good kit to compare between if the vinyl is rubbish and the player is bad you won’t hear much, the same can be said for a CD. I personally prefer CDs over mp3s because they’re uncompressed (and yes I know FLACs exist but most music isn’t in the format).

Agreed CDs far superior to ‘available’ digital formats. Which is why I’m still considered old school for buying CDs!

I still buy CDs too. I get kind of irritated when some music I like isn’t available on CD.
