She is Nice Yeah;)
The first time I heard Linkin Park -and knew it was them- was 2 years ago, the one I heard was Leave Out All The Rest⌠My first thought was âWhat an amazing bandâ I was told that the only other song they have made that was good was In The End, but I thought it cannot be true so I wrote Linkin Park CD´s on my wish list this year, I got 2 albums, Meteora and Hybrid Theory of which i thought Meteora was best. But I listened to the music and realized that I had got a new favourite band. Now I can´t go into a music store without buying one of their albums:)
I got âLinkinparkifiedâ (thanks for the word Phoenix lol) over 10 yrs agoâŚ
I used to work on the weekdays and go to school so I couldnât watch videos like I used to, so my little brother (the genius that he is) decided to record videos from MTV (when they used to actually show music videos) and then heâd watch them when heâd come home from school. Well he recorded the video for âCrawlingâ and called me to his room, he was like âhere I want u to watch this video, tell me what u think about themâ started to watch the video and was mesmerized. I asked âwho is thisâ, he says âoh its Linkin Parkâ. My then boyfriend (now hubby) got Hybrid Theory and that was all he listened to, He promised heâd make a copy for me but it never happened, after waiting for months for a copy, I bought my own. I also bought him the DVD âFrat Party at the Pankake Festivalâ, we watched it and this got me liking them even more, they seemed down to earth and really cool. nevertheless, I became hooked! I joined the LPU in May 2002, joined the street team and all I could talk about was LP.
First time I saw LP live was at Roseland on March 12th, 2003 (Mike had announced weeks prior that they were playing Roseland for the LPU to promote Meteora, I signed up for my ticket and was the first one one @ Roseland the day of the show to pick up my ticket lol). I was by the stage and it was one of the best days of my life. Iâve seen LP live 7 times, I was even on TV (Fuse) with LP (when they used to have IMX and they were there, I was one of the girls that had a santa hat that read LP Ho, Ho, Ho, yeah I know corny but it was around Christmastime).
I am 30 yrs old (but donât look like I am) and a huge LP fan! [biggrin]

My older brother, Matt, had âHybrid Theoryâ on a burned CD from one of his friends and he played it constantly. I always just listened and I knew all the songs, but for some reason, I never cared to ask the name of the band (I was just young, I guess). I was 10 (in 5th grade) and one day in my chorus class, we were doing sectionals and the sopranos (my group) were just waiting for our turn. The girl, Morgan, sitting next to me started singing the beginning of âOne Step Closer.â âI cannot take this anymoreâŚâ I heard this, looked at her and jumped in. We sang all the way through the first chorus, then stopped and she was like âYou like Linkin Park!?!â and I was like âThatâs what theyâre called? Yeah. My brother listens to them all the time.â and she said âYeah. My sister, too.â And so after that class, I ran to all of my friends to tell them about Linkin Park. From that day on, I set out to learn whatever I could about my new favorite band.
I think I saw Crawling on TV, bought the album and since then been an LP fan. I was 15, so itâs been 11 years now. Wow.
i think that when i watch MTV when i was 7 years old
i saw âin the endâ and i just love it
from that day I am âlinkinparkedâ
same here
Since 2001. The first music that i heard was One Step Closer, i had heard by chance. I thought that they had something more than others groups. My father who loves the music had already bought HT. I listened it and iâm immediately fall in love. Since that day iâm a big fan and itâs become my favorite band.
i hear LP at a party and then i listen to the other songs and now im here
when was that?
When I first heard âOne Step Closerâ I was in awe, absolutely loved the song, couldnât get enough!![biggrin] I can remember hearing it and being like âthis is unreal!!â [surprised] was hooked straight way! started listening to Hybrid Theory on repeat and been listening to them ever since, 11 years on [lol] went through 2 Hybrid Theory CDs from over listening [lol] was only 12 when I first started listening to LP, now Iâm 23 I really have grown up with LP, donât think I would have gotten through a lot of things without them!! [smile]
Late 2006 (September 5th to be exactly). I remember that I was watching some fanvideos of â24â (which is the best tv-show EVER, in my opinion) on youtube and one of the vids had âBreaking The Habitâ as their background music. I really liked the song, so I checked it up.
The name âLinkin Parkâ wasnât familiar at all to me. (Even though I actually found out later that I had a NUMB single, haha!) I started to listening to their songs and I remember that Iâve got some fav songs like âPushing Me Awayâ, âIn The Endâ and âLying From Youâ. But still, âBreaking The Habitâ was and still are my fav song!!
Itâs funny because then like, a few months later my I founds out that Linkin Park is going to play in my country! I was pretty happy about it and asked my dad if I could attend. He said ânoâ and I didnât put so much energy to convince him because I wasnât like that âhardcore Linkin Park fanâ so I kind of dropped it pretty fast. But then my friend told me that someone was selling 2 tix to the concert nearby I lived, so I decieded to put this subject again and asked my dad. He said âmaybe, let me think about it.â A week later he shows up with those tickets and I was so happy!
Then, May 25th 2007 in Stockholm,Sweden(Ericsson Globe) for the first time, I saw those 6 guys (who later saved my life more than once!) for the first time. It was an amazing concert, I really enjoyed watching it LIVE and I remember that I jumped up and down like all the time and my lungs were fucking sore after that, but it was so worth it.
After my first REAL concert w/ Linkin Park, I was hooked.
A friend of mine tole me to listen to One Step Colser, so I did. I loved it! I bought the LP records and a year later I went to my first LP show and became a hard core fan!
It startet with my sister buying hybrid theory in 2000, and when she wasnât home I snuck the CD out of her room, and listened to it, and then placed it where it belong in her room. And as she got more interested, I listened to it more. But, it was when I first heard Numb/Encore with jay z I got hooked! And since that time (2004) Iâve fancied LP over the regular shit. So, LP was actually the first band that I really started listening to.
About three and a half years ago my son (then 11) was playing Runescape online and watched a video that was using âNumbâ as the background music. He told me to listen to the song and asked to get the CD.
We bought it and listened together and we were both âlinkenparkedâ, Now that heâs almost 15 our love for Linkin Park something that we have in common and helps keep us talking to each other.
2am july morning 2001,a mate had paper cut playing. Been hooked ever since, listen to them most dayz. Theye combine all the music I love.
You remember the exact date 10 years ago? Wow, you are awesome [biggrin]
For me it went like this: I mostly like small alternative bands, doing that stuff they like and dont care what other people think. Thatâs why Iâam usually not interested in world-famous bands. So, in the past I always thought, LP is just quite ok.
One day, I coincidentally saw a LP concert on TV and actually I didnât want to see the entire show. But I was hooked and couldnât switch off! I was so impressed from the passion, LP playing with. That was really awesome!
Since that time I began to inform about LP and I come to the conclusion, that they are a very unique band! I love their music and lyrics. The guys seems to be very nice and grounded and they are doing many social projects. And I like that they respect their fans. Thatâs not be taken for granted for other bands!
Here is how Iâve been Linkinparked:
I saw Crawling on MTV and loved everything of that song and the video too (tough I didnât understood what was the meaning at that moment). I think I was 12 or 13. But at that moment, I was unable to remember the mane of the group (shame on me!!). Than In the end came out and I found the video amazing. I talked about it with a friend, and he lent me HT. I LOVED it instantly and listened only that CD for ages. (For the record, I saw crawling again on MTV and only at that moment I made the connection with the video I had loved so much the first time I saw itâŚ)
And I love them since then! all their CDs, all their songs!
