[quote=Isabelle-aka-chelseasw3]That was by the end of 2000. I was living in London at that time. A friend of mine had come back from the US with a certain album called “Hybrid Theory” [smile]. I had been through really hard times and immediately got a blast when I listened to it because the lyrics were exactly expressing what I had been feeling without being able to put it into words. Linkin Park offered me kind of a spiritual therapy and helped me tidy up the mess within my life. I’ll never grateful enough because they probably saved my life and helped me prevent me from doing stupid things.
I got Linkinparked in 2001 when I heard Crawling. I was amazed with Chester’s voice. Loved the way he screams in the song. I have been a LP fan eversince. Love all their albums.
I got linkinparked a lot of times.
First 2001, when Crawling aired the first time in german TV. My sister watched a music show and then there was the Premiere of Crawling. I accidently went into the room and watched the clip. I felt very happy and loved the clip for many reasons.
The second time I got linkinparked was, when “In The End” aired in Germany. It was the best clip I’ve seen at that time and it convinced me calling myself Linkin Park Fan.
The third time I got linkinparked was 2008, when they played my first gig in Hanover. It was my birthday and my dad and I went there. It was such a great experience. I loved everything about it.
The fourth time I got linkinparked was 2010, a very difficult time. Unable to feel anything physically and psychically I received the news that LP are planning to release the new album. That was my only straw I held on to.
You see, LP helped me in so many ways and also impressed me quite often. I’m happy being a LPUer now.
I can’t clearly remember, but I started listening to their songs when I was in fourth grade. I didn’t understand english very well back then, and just sang to every lyric written in the booklet whenever I was in my car. I just don’t know how I came to remember every single lyric until now, even though I wasn’t familiar with the language. guess I was just too captivated with chester’s screams and the new genre breakthrough.
whenever I feel alone (which is most of the time) I will listen to LP through my iPod. even among the crowds. they made me feel like they are here for me, and that I am not alone.
they’re 6 of the few people who are keeping me alive.
My first experience with Linkin Park was 2001, My best friend and I met and we listened together to Hybrid Theory and I love it.
I got linkinparked maybe in 2003-2004 after Meteora release. My mom loved to but a lot of cassettes for me of different artists. For example, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, some russian pop music, Rammstein, Green Day, Beyonce etc. One day she bought me Meteora and I immediately turned the cassette on. My first impression was “wow awesome album, awesome band”. That’s how I started to listen to them but I wasn’t a fan. When Minutes to Midnight came out, I downloaded it from Internet and recorded a CD. And then… So I’m fan since 2007 and thanks my mom who bought Meteora
I got LinkinParked when i was 7. I either heard “In the End” or “Numb” and i just fell in love instantly. I want to thank my brother for introducing me to LP, the band i will never forget! They changed how i look at life and music. They also changed my taste in music. I have a life but Linkin Park is most of it! xD
Keep rocking!
With me it started after watching transformers 1 and hearing What I’ve done for the first time. I looked up title and artist and I told this to my friend . He said: ‘Hey, I might be able to play this on piano (only in Dutch because I live in Belgium ).’ and then he showed me how to play it on his piano. I was an absolute zero in music that time so 'cause of that I started getting interested in playing piano as well and I began following some piano lessons.
Even now I’m still adicted to all of their songs and of all other band there are I still haven’t found one that comes even close to Lp’s awesomeness!!!
Katelyn from “Crawling” linkinparked me somehow…strange i know. But she was the reason i watched the video over and over again.
She is Nice Yeah;)
Heard ‘In The End’ in the car one day late(?) 2001. Got Hybrid Theory for Christmas that year
I have no idea. It’s been that long, but if I had to guess either OSC or ITE did it for me. Probably ITE.

Linkin Park is a part of my life since I heard the song “Papercut”. I got the Papercut [Enhanced CD Single] (with papercut video I 093624239321/9362423932/W562CD) and the both live tracks on it were so wonderfull, that i got interested in the band. Now I´m trying to catch everything about Linkin Park.
Sometimes it seems that Linkin Park´s music can change your worst mood and can help you survive your worse times…
So, it was in 2003-2004. I saw the “Numb” on TV (I still love this song very much), some months later my friend gave me the “Meteora” CD and I very love it. Then I listen the “Hybrid Theory” CD. So I become a big fan, and can’t imagine my life without their music. It bring me a good spirit for all day (I can’t imagine why [razz])
I’m in LPU since LPU9 [heart]
What they changed in my life? So, now (when I earn money on my own) I try to help any way I can to MFR and a little in my city.
Well it happend to me only 2 years ago. I only knew a few songs but was never a HUGE fan. Then my friend started getting into them and bought some CDs. One day I was at her place and she didnt wanna turn that stuff of and it simply brain washed me ever since and I couldnt stop listning to them. And finaly on the christmas after that iI got a huge poster and all the CDs. I spent my whole days trying to learn those songs by heart, And I did. Ever since that theyve become a big part of my life. (wich annoys people sometimes)
Wow:) Same here for me!! Its like nearly the Same Story with a little change up
I think it was the year 2000. I was at my room doing homework and stuff. All of a sudden i heard this really good music, coming out of my TV. IMTV played the One Step Closer video and that song really got me, so i bought the single. A few weeks later i saw the video for crawling… then Papercut and In the end… and then I bought Hybrid Theory ! I don’t think that I ever spent my money better than that day. And now, 11 years later, they’re still my favourite Band. I can’t imagine a life without their music anymore [smile]
