Don’t let anyone change you like what you like be the person you are and don’t be pressured by what others say I did that all though middle school and the first half of high I pretend to like what they liked until one day I wake up and be came the person I am today so @rorybourdon don’t make the same mistake I did

Ey Ro (can I name you Ro? ) when I was in high school there were two different groups of people. I tried to change my personality, my clothes, my music, everything for the wrong group. I left behind people that really was important for me. That group didn’t really care if I was with them or not. When I started my first year of University I met a lot of people, each person with their own way to wear, their music… but we connected so well and today we are still in contact. Today I don’t mind what people think about me (people that don’t know me at all, even some friends jaja)if someone wants to meet you they love you even if you are a fan of justin. I mean, it’s good meet new and different people. But it’s up to you to keep “some people” away.

Even now I occasionally like things such as Alcazar, Ellie Goulding, Daft Punk, Kosheen, Pink Floyd… I like songs like Kung Fu Fighting (Cee-Lo Green), Lily Was Here (Dave Steward & Candy Dulfer) or Fresh (Kool & The Gang). I also like Baywatch theme song and the song from Duck Tales!!
So no worries. We’re just like you, we like all sorts of music and it does not matter the others do not. I literally don’t care what others think about me. I’m happy with myself and that’s important. There is nothing to define me - I like hard music, but that does not mean I can’t like those poppy things. And that all does not mean I can’t like classical music (because I do - usually).
Your taste of music is your uniqueness and don’t be ashamed of that. You are not forced to be anything, you don’t need to fall into a category. Just be yourself, always Love yourself

Yeah, so what Don’t care, let them have their minds and don’t force me to think the way I don’t want to. I’m just the way I am and if you don’t like me then leave and I’ll find someone who’ll accept me as I am. I won’t change because of someone thinking something else or judging me. I’m done with that a long time ago

I like to listen to 80s music so people say you must be 30 and when people at school talk about all this new music I am left out because I don’t listen to the new pop music they listen to most music I listen to was actually made before I was born of Crouse their a few expectations like Linkin Park so like you like because we all have different tastes but that is part of what makes you you and who ever is saying you. A 12 for listening to Taylor I just try and stay form them cause you like her and that’s fine and I do hope one day that you well be able to see her perform

And I forgot to say - if someone doesn’t like what I listen to, that does not mean they cannot accept it.
I have one or two close friends and they occasionally look at me like “wtf are you listening to??”. They don’t like the music, but they’ve come to accept that I like it. They can criticise (and I’ll listen and smile) but they accept me as I am, despite that. Otherwise we wouldn’t be friends anymore
That’s what true friends should be like. If you have the unacceptable type of friends, be sure to eliminate them from your life and find someone who accepts you, even if they don’t like some things and always say it truthfully directly to your eyes. 'Cause that’s what friends should be like.
