Oh, it’s not the colour but the sharpness. And yeah, didn’t expected HD quality, but at least as good as my medion laptop. But I also got used to it pritty fast, cause I just noticed it at the beginning.
So, I am happy with my new laptop! No regrets or wishes for something else
Holy crap! Isn’t WOW a pretty old game which sorta doesn’t need that much of a power ?
I owned a Lenovo tablet once. It was great but it crashed and getting it fixed was impossible. Of course a laptop and a tablet cannot be compared but still…
Well it’s still being updated with more open world options and don’t forget the raids with 40 players.
In a few months they will release a new expansion with more worlds to explore and updates to the graphics.
Anyone know anything about electric Bikes in the UK?
I don’t unfortunately. Even if I did, I don’t condone being a Road Nazi (cyclist), so I wouldn’t share any advice.
That’s odd. The panel is 1080p, so it’s FHD (Full HD), it should definitaly be sharper than your old one, even if it’s a bigger screen.
Look what we’ve got here
This buddy is 13 years old and for the last five years it’s been lying around collecting dust.
Still works - the sound is great if you ask me. The issue is that most of the functions are either dead or just weird. It’s CD-ROM can’t even close properly. It can’t read USB in any format. Radio works just fine , dunno about the cassette player. Oh and the AUX port on the front panel is an output one. The input is an RCA port. I’ve bought the adapter though. Can’t test it - modern phones
Yay, i’ve finally replaced the old countryside computer as it was right about to burn through the table. They’ve got the servicing price - around 400 bucks… so i got myself a new PC for nearly 320 bucks.
The motherboard is GIGABYTE - don’t ask me about the brand, i dunno it. CPU - AMD Ryzen 3, 3,6GHz. No videocard , only CPU graphic core. Why? Because i can’t pull money out of nowhere. I’m gonna buy this guy something like 1-2 gb videocard. 8GB RAM, 128 SSD where win10 runs and a 1TB HDD for data). Oh and f–k AMD’s cooling systems. It took me an eternity to install it(((
Then the monitor - FHD 23’ . Win10, as i have mentoined before
Gigabyte is the brand. lol
I mean , I have never heard of them before. Made in Taiwan, according to its BIOS
Some in-assemble pics
I’ve done some cable management but currently I’m too lazy to open it up and take a pic
Gigabtye are fairly recent, but well known for doing high-end gaming stuff (mobos, SSDs, GPUs, laptops, etc…). I’m skeptical of all of those Taiwanese companies though, however there don’t seem to be non-taiwanese mobo makers these days.
Oh and here is how it finally looks like
More udpates on the countryside
I’ve finally picked up a videocard - guess that Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 550 PULSE is the best variant, according to it’s size, memory and the price. It’s a 2GB GDDR5 videocard with Radeon RX 550 processor, interface - PCLE 3.0 (yes, i’ve copied the name. Too lazy to type lol)
As it’s been nearly a week of usage i can tell a couple of things.
First things first - it works smoother than my old pc even though it doesn’t have a videocard. 10 years are 10 years, time is a b–ch
BUT it seems to be louder. My guess is that i use only CPU’s graphic core so it heats - so the cooler has to work better and make this noise…
The screen is kinda… well, it’s the same resolution and it makes no differnece almost at all. But it’s a couple of inches bigger
What i really DON’T like is the amount of wires - thankfully i’ll buy this dude a wi-fi adapter and won’t have to use the DLINK 3g router with lan again.
Maybe i’ll install some more RAM so bigger software and games would work better. But that’s a longshot story…)
PCIe, India not Lima.
Also isn’t 2GB tiny by today’s standards?
Tiny but enough for me plus the money …
You have like 7 Macs as well, so it doens’t matter so much for you. lol
Terminator my man. Long time no see. Guess what, Do not update the windows version 2004 on an i5 with 8gb ram. Plus my battery needs replacement so the system keeps reminding me. It lasts for just an hour on a full charge. I don’t know if it’s just me or it does actually slow the system down.
lol
Wasn’t planning on it at all, I’ve had too many experiences to do that to myself. I’m currently holding off a tsumnami of updates from a few months ago.
Mine’s been sliggish recently, but that’s because of the stupid space and because I’ve only got about 10GB left on my boot drive.
Oh man i got 300gb left and it’s still slow. I already updated it and now trying to clean up the trail of files it left.
My drives are both nearly full, I need more space. I use the C drive for software only (for some reason the capacity has been fluctuating over the past week despite me not doing anything) and the D for files only. That’s how I isolate my important stuff from W10. If I get totally and utterly fucked, I can just open the laptop, pull the file drive out and plug it into another computer with a SATA to USB adapter.
