Future of Linkin Park?

To be honest, I would love the rest of LP band start to sing and continue as 5 of them. They’re all talented and I’m sure there’s a voice in each of them  but it’s just up to them, what they feel will be right to do…

If the bad continues I can only see guests appearing at gigs to sort of stand in for Chester…it would be absolutely lovely if one of his kids (I don’t know the ages ) could sing his parts with the same gusto…as for the band LP itself I’m not really sure it has a future as it once was (which is obvious I guess)

LPU17 is coming…

Yes.Chester is irreplaceable. But Linkin Park should carry on. I don’t see why they should quit. They’ll never be the same but they still have five members who have a passion for music. They might get a new singer or Mike will take over. I don’t really mind. Chester will live on in their songs.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they will release a CD with LPU17. Its understandable though.

I am not a god fearing individual, but I have been literally praying for a remix album reworking Chester’s original recordings of an album, perhaps oml

Mike posted a pic of him working in the studio last night on Instagram. I agree…hope a remix Reanimation part 2 is happening.

You can’t do that Chester was just to good and Chester wouldn’t want the band to do that

It would be like taxidermy…wasn’t suggesting they do it - just merely commenting that it was possible!
It is inevitable that one day it will happen…not necessarily CB…but, someone somewhere will…

The future of Linkin Park looks better. One thing stood out right from the beginning when they put that first statement out after Chesters sad passing was that they used the words ‘building a future of the band’. Its been a devistatingly hard year for us and for the band. I am sure 2018 will be welcomed with more certainty and a better perspective. Today Mike went live on Instagram actively working on ‘Looking for an answer’ and we know Rob is putting drums down. It already sounds completely different from the Hollywood Bowel performance. We know they are meeting every week and have been practicing at Mikes home studio so yes i think Linkin Park are finding their feet and will continue and i truly believe they will put another decade or more albums out with the same ethos and popularity they enjoy today as the world class band they are whilst driving awareness for the charity that Talinda has set up as well as music for relief.

Seems that LP’s return has been postponed again with this announcement:

Sending you much strength!

That’s a real fast assumption… let’s wait and see

I don’t know about “postponed”, that would assume that we were already close to that :stuck_out_tongue: Joe’s quote about the band talking about making new music was very promising, but he did not put a timestamp on it and neither should we. I do think that his “10 years” was a pretty big exaggeration, just to try and keep the media from blowing it out of proportion, but I never thought we could expect anything by September anyways xD
