Connecticut school shooting

Not sure how many have heard but here’s a link to the story…

my thoughts and prayers go out to all involved and to the parents who will be mourning the loss of their child this Christmas instead of watching them open gifts. Don’t take anything in life for granted. It can be gone in an instant. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers to the families. Why would someone do such a thing? What has this world come too? [cry]

So incredibly sad and tragic. I can’t wait to hug my kids when I get home.

i wish we could get the LPU to do something to help the families. this is so sad. i just really want to help.

I too wait to hug my kids when they all are home from school. This afternoon at the school where I teach in response to this morning’s tragedy we had a drill for a code black situation…It is very sad when you have to tell 5 and 6 year olds that we are hiding in a bathroom so that we can be safe if someone comes into school and want to hurt us. My heart goes out to all the families that will be touched by this horrific event.

Seeing the pics of the kids coming out the school the scared looks on their faces it jus breaks my heart I don’t understand how some1 can look at a defenseless child and kill them n cold blood…WHAT A FUCKING COWARD!!! If u want to shoot sum1 b a real man and join the dam military …and the sad thing is this guy was probably a spoiled fuck who didn’t get his way and decided this was the way he was gona handle it …my heart and prayers go out to the families who lost their lil angles and luved ones what a sad x-mas this is gonna b for them it jus breaks my heart poor babies I can’t imagine how scared they were when this sick f*ck rushed in their class room makes me so sick to my stomach…may god be with these families

That really sucks at all for me. I’m kind of sick of these news. What’s happening with the people?

I cannot imagine the EVIL behind the eyes of mass murderer who kills off his family and then the innocent lives of Kindergarteners along w/ teaching personnel. There are some real sadistic individuals that still live amongst us. We need to do our VERY BEST to protect our own from this evil. My thoughts go out to all the victims and their families from this tragic event and similar events from the past. Unfortunately, I feel this won’t be the last, but I hope to GOD somebody has a chance to eliminate the threat before innocent lives are lost again.

it hurt me to see this today. i couldnt believe out of the 27 killed 20 were kids. there is nothing that can go so wrong in your life to want to kill innocent children.

Is that the recent number of victims? I read something about 24 killed and 18 of them were children.

yeah last i read it was 27 or 28 and 20 were children. its heartbreaking

It is very disgusting the world we live in.

It seems like with every mass shooting, reporters always say it’s the “worst one ever”. It’s not going to get any better unless more action is taken and even rules and laws are set to enforce more gun control.

It’s such a tragedy and I can’t even begin to imagine what the parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members of the victims have to deal with in trying to move forward in their lives. Especially with the holidays only a couple weeks away it’s going to be a long healing process for everyone.

quoting for truth. if there are any CT LPUers out there who know someone in Newtown/Sandy Hook, just know we’re here with you and you’re in our thoughts and prayers. we will never know how the victims feel, or understand what they’re going through right now, but we can give them the support they need during this tragic time.

gun control wont work. the guy had no criminal record. they should put more security measures in place in schools. cops/security with metal detectors or body scan xrays etc. the entire world seems like its collapsing. i wish we as LPU’ers could do something to help the families touched by this tragedy. i know i would do anything i could.

its so sad  i almost cried watching it on the news :’( RIP to all the people that passed away

Complete tragedy :frowning:

That’s very sad. I read, that all weapons had been bought on a legal way by his mother. Why the hell does she need to have weapons? I never understood, why it is allowed to have guns in the United States in the present time. I mean, I can’t see a reasonable purpose for that. Fucking gun lobby!

I am deeply saddened by this news :frowning:
RIP all the souls that were lost and may god be with the people who lost their loved ones.
