I am not sure. I have a moment nw when I can’t listen to them anymore, but i think I need them in my life. It is not like I can’t I just don’t want to.

I had been a fan for 11 or more years when I needed a break from them. I was so depressed their music was making it worse (that was in my head of course but I had to take a break). You find other things to take up things that relate like they do. I took up movies and used that to serve in place where LP helped me. Sometimes it’s better to take a break. I came back in July (so I took about a 6 year break give or take some time) and I have a much bigger (I never thought was possible) love and respect for them. I never stopped loving them but I needed that break. I love them so much more now. It isn’t bad to take a break. You still love them and that’s what matters. Their music will be stronger when you come back to listening to it. Makes it that much more special as well as you see how important they are to you

I can listen to other artists (presumably rock/metal) for a few days but nothing beats LP! As long as I listen to 5 songs a day minimum, I’m all right!:heart::heart::+1::+1::+1::sunglasses::sunglasses:

I love LP since 2000, when I heard “Papercut” for the first time. Every now and then I tried to listen to some other music, but after a few songs I always went back to LP. And since Chesters death other music has no chance anymore. For me songs from other artists are now so stupid and meaningless to me. Sorry, no offence meant. One day without LP or DBS isn´t possible for me.

Since Chester’s passing, I’ve been finding myself listening to Linkin Park more than I had before. I’ve also been digging deep and listening to a lot of stuff I actually hadn’t listened to in a long time.

But I still stand by my original post.

Welcome to the family that shares that feeling @Grake!
now you have us for releasing some steam too!

:hugs: @hilaryfol @StephLP18

@LPUgrl2 i had the same path away from them after 2010 but came back with a blast in 2016 because of realizing it was me who lost touch with the depth of their new lyrics, not them.
“a thousand suns” is their warning to us and their attempt to keep us safe!

i can help point where to look about it… but don’t want to be a spammer and share links people didn’t ask for!
