A Thousand Suns

I played it all the way through for the first time on a long car journey. On the first run through I didn’t ‘get’ it at all. By the end of the return journey it had grown on me massively.

Definitely one of those albums that needs to be heard more than once, more that 4 or 5 times in my case.

Hi, I’m new here

When I first heard ATS, I wasn’t that impressed with it. But after hearing it a few times, I absolutely love it, now I can’t stop listening to it! My faves in order are probably:

ATS
Hybrid Theory
Meteora
Minutes To Midnight

X

I loved the album! I honestly don’t hink it was their worst. I find that all of their albums are all very different and I’ve decided that they shouldn’t be compared to each other.

But I love all of their albums

Hybrid Theory will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first album I heard by them, but each release after has been unique and it’s difficult to rank them. I think “A Thousand Suns” is beautiful in its own way, it’s definitely the most political and a lot of thought went into the lyrics and flow of the album.

I loved A Thousand Suns, although it is a bit different, the album has really clear direction, and pogression, and you could really feel the thought that went into creating it as something different.

it have a good songs but i don’t like songs like “the requiem” “the radiance” -__- just waste of time i n the album

I believe that it was possibly their best album! I find it too difficult to decide what album or song is the best. I love everything about LP!!!

I think that ATS ,like every other LP album, its unique. I had to listen close every piece of it to understand the message, because the first time I heard it, I was very dissappointed. But then, I realize, these guys are trying to say something,to do something different, to overcome themselfs…then I listened the new sounds very carefully and I loved it

I’m not the one who ranks every album by LP, but ATS was simply awesome. It totally took me somewhere else, musically. I was overwhelmed.

First LP record I didn’t like next to like 1 or 2 songs it was just not LP to me. I know it was a step out but blah haha.

Personally, I love it. I love that they reached out, knowing it’d upset many but at the same time, many would love it. Sure, lots of people have been saying that it’s awful, but I appreciate all of their phases (HT-Meteora, to Minutes to Midnight, to ATS). Meteora and Hybrid Theory are my favorite albums of theirs, but A Thousand Suns not only has a matured sound but the fact that it’s a concept album adds that much more maturity and depth to it.

It’s my second favourite album behind Hybrid Theory. I think the album is very captivating, original and different. It has great sounds and the album is pretty dark and meaningful.

ATS was fantastic. People just don’t appreciate art. Or the fact that the guy’s ventured into unknown territory and made it work really well.

oddly enough…A thousands Suns was my favorite. By far. See, This is where they are brillant.

 I 100% agree

I love ATS as much as the other albums except songs like Empty Spaces, The Requiem, The Radiance ect were pointless. I liked Jornada Del Muerto which was probably the only one necessary because it has some lyrics that weren’t repeated from other songs with effect, but that’s just my opinion :stuck_out_tongue:

A Thousand Suns is probably my favourite album since 2010, but my all time fave LP albums go:

HT>ATS>MTM>Meteora.

So yeah, overall ATS is my second fave, but by the sounds of it, LIVING THINGS will come top, sounds fucking amazing!

Love Ats! Same as the other album

But Meteora & MTM are my all time favourite

I think A Thousand Suns was an improvement to Minutes to Midnight (which is the only album I’m disappointed with) but of course not superior to Meteora. Deff great for what it is. A little more modern sounding but you can’t blame them for that. Personally I don’t like the current sound of music but I think A Thousand Suns still manages to please. Of course I would Love for LP to top Top Suns and Minutes to Midnight but I’m still pleased with whatever they do. I say it that way because Hybrid, Reanimation, and Meteora are all generally the same style in my opinion. Of course those are all my favorite LP albums. I will admit that Midnight and Sun can be considered quite different from the initial LP albums and that has caused some friends a little less loyal to kinda let go of LP. I think perhaps an album somewhat uninfluenced by any modern sound trends and almost a total return to form may be in order to reinstate some fans.
