I get it’s a joke, but I’m feeling pedantic and want to answer this. One factor is particle size, the next is that your arse, pants and trousers are all right next to each other and farts are pressurised. Masks aren’t supposed to stop the virus, they’re supposed to decrease the chance that you get and/or spread it. Also, with the fart analogy, you’d need someone with corona to be giving you mouth-to-mouth CPR through 2 masks for it to be similar.
