Why does it take so long to get tix?

I bought 2 tix for a mid August show, but my order says tix will be shipped on 7/31/12. Why so long? These are a graduation gift! I don’t want to give the receipt as a gift…

Were they LPU presale for GA or Reserved? Lol i had to give the receipt for anniversary gift.

It just depends on the show and the time when you might get your tickets will vary. My tickets for the Chula Vista, CA show on September 10th arrived today - I bought them during the pre-sale on April 23rd.

In the past, I’ve typically had tickets show up much earlier than the “2 weeks before show”. You just have to be patient.

Yeah mine are supposed to arrive in mid August i think, and since people have gotten them via mail already I’m waiting till I get mine lol. Hopefully soon!

We have to wait until we receive them from the promoter. This generally happens 2-3 weeks before the event. The day ground(ctrl) receives them, they’ll ship 'em out!

On a similar note. I purchased my tickets quite a while ago but have since moved. I’ve updated my information here as well as with the post office but I’d rather it not be sent to my old address. Do I need to contact anyone in particular?

I moved not too long after ordering the Living Things CD, I emailed the support on linkinpark.com and they changed the shipping address for me, so you should email ground(ctrl) as a fail safe to you updating your info.

I bought tickets to the Palace of Auburn Hills show on the 21st. Which is now only 8 days away, one week from tomorrow. My tickets have yet to show up. They were listed as shipping on the 7th, which was last tuesday. I’ve never had anything from anywhere in North America take this long to get here by UPS ground. My order is listed as “Ready” and not at “Shipped”. Should this be changing once they are shipped?

It would be nice if they at least gave us a tracking number.

Well I’m going to the Camden show on the 17th and pre-ordered my tickets through the LPU presale. Just got them like two days ago so about a week before the concert I got them.

Holden, did you recieve any email notification that they were shipping?

If you’re looking to buy tickets before anybody else, buy through the LPU presales.

If you’re looking to receive your tickets through the mail without worrying if they’ll come last-minute, buy through normal sales.

True, LPUers get opportunities at presales, but we are the last to receive them.

I’m having the same issue. I just spent 25 mins long distance on the customer support line with them telling me that they haven’t even shipped the tickets yet because they HAVEN"T EVEN RECIEVED THE TICKETS FROM THE “PROMOTER”!!! They had no idea when they would recieve the tickets or when they would be shipped out. I told them that I can’t wait until the day before the show to recieve the tickets because I found out I was pregnant after I purchased the general admission tickets and can’t go to the show. They told me too bad.

I JUST received this email from Customer Support:
Thank you for contacting ground(ctrl) support.

We apologize for the delay in your tickets being shipped. The promoter for the event had a delay in forwarding the fan club pre-sale tickets to us, but they arrived today and are currently being processed, packed, and shipped out to you.

You will know that your tickets have shipped when you see the order status has changed to ‘FULFILLED’.

The status of all orders can be viewed using this link:

If for some reason you do not receive the tickets in time, a list of all ticket purchasers will be provided to the venue box office and they will be able to reissue new sets of tickets to the purchaser at the will call box office on the day of the event upon presentation of a photo ID and receipt. If you do not receive your tickets and it is 3 days before your event, please contact us so that we can notify the venue that you wil be asking for reprints.

Have a great time at the concert!

Sincerely,
ground(ctrl) Support
Just as a heads up to the process for presale tickets, once we receive them from the promoter (which is generally 2-3 weeks before the event) we’ll ship them out. Sometimes it doesn’t always work out that way, and we get them sometimes last minute. If tickets don’t reach you by the time of your show, you can call us at 877-GND-CTRL (M-F 9-5 PDT) or email us at http://support.groundctrl.com. You can also go into your account at http://www.lpunderground.com/account/orders/ and when your order goes to “fulfilled” that means your order has shipped. Hope this helps!

If you have any further questions, please feel free to message me directly.

My guess is they don’t want the tickets floating around for months if scaplers purchased them
