I was a member 2002 - 2006ish, amassing over 200,000 posts…I just got an email about a free one month LPU trial so I figured I’d give it a shot. The forums are pretty barren and it’s kind of depressing.

Is there anyone still here from back then? The good ol’ days are gone, it seems.

I was a member until around last June 2011 but didnt rejoin when LPUX started so my membership expired. Life took the reins and it was actually hard to get online due to work and family needs.

Recently relocated for my job (typically move every 2-3 years because of rotating positions) and settled in, I have the chance to start back up. I got the trial membership but will most likely join for full membership.

The forums in the old days were always blazing and you could find anything you needed there.

I remember a couple of usernames I’m seeing here. For the life of me I can’t remember my old username, haha. I was a member from around 2005-2010. When LPUX started, I refused to renew because the ridiculous price increase. Saw something for a free month trial and decided to see what it’s like now. I’ve been thinking about signing back up for a few days now, but I’m still not so sure if it’s worth $60. These forums are kinda dead. I remember the LPU forums before was the best LP forum around, always plenty to lurk/post on.

Haha aww I remember some names here… I just signed up for the free trial haha. My original name was ‘LinkinParkCaliGurl’ or somethin equally embarrasing haha. I was here from the begining :slight_smile: …up until everyone left haha. Oh well :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha I was here in the beginning too. I vaguely remember that name… My name was… well… the same as I made it this time, cause I’m a loser … but now I’m all grown up and married and stuff… :smiley:

i definitely remember you. linkinparkcaligurl, you’re another one i 100% remember, as well as stephie. marymahem and joneoverland, you guys sound familiar.

kittygoesmewmew, what was your screen name back then? i remember pretty clearly having a friend who went by kittie on the forums.

also, i’m glad (well not really glad…) that most of you share my sentiments about these boards being worse than they were before. this place used to be my home and the reason i would shell out $25 a year, but it seems like there’s no point anymore.

Kitty was peppermintsomethingorother for a while. I can’t remember her other name she got when she renewed. shrugs

This place is too dead to pay that much…but the presale, and the meet and greet… GAH. I usually work MFR anyway, and we forego M&G to work the booth.
