It’s insane to think I’m far from anything and this is making its way over

Well, considering sometimes we wake up and find our car encrusted in Sahara dust (in the UK), I wouldn’t be surprised if ash from a nearby-ish fire made it to you.

Bs :flushed:
The Sahara development company site a block away(?)

Nope, dust carried from Africa over some kind of oceanic winds or something. It’s brown and very fine. Planes don’t have a good time if it’s especially bad. Also, we don’t have blocks over here, road layouts are a mess.

That’s insane :flushed:
Guess it’s something you typically overlook
How often y’all get that dusting? It’s not common here for ca besides this bs, usually we have delta breeze coming in from sf clean as heck

I don’t know as I don’t pay attention much, but you see it sometimes. Obviously I haven’t seen it recently since I haven’t gone anywhere lol.

Photo dump from camping the last few days.

I picked up a passenger in my kayak on Thursday as my dad and I were paddling out to our campsite.

The view from our site, and a seat with a view.

We hiked a mountain on Friday. It’s a very steep hike made up mostly of rocks and some makeshift foot bridges.

Here’s some views from the mountain’s summit, including a cabin, a fire tower, and one brave, persistent little chipmunk who, given the chance, would have ran off with my lunch.

Back at our site. See all the fish?

We had another chipmunk running around our site, but he mostly stayed hidden in his burrow.

It was just the one, and I almost started calling him Theodore. He’s definitely seen his fair share of people, some of which have probably fed him.
