oh noooo it’s uelzen, I know this train station so well on my trips to Hamburg and Kiel
Why would you ride from Kassel over Uelzen to HH or KI ?
I really enjoyed this stop today
Went to see Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) tonight at his album release party. A very very very very interesting gig! I would describe it as a guitar orchestra type of thing. It was brilliant!!
He did a m&g after, and we got to say hi. He freaking recognised us!! He said he was glad to see us there supporting him! I couldn’t believe it!
Concert night out
The Cheating Hearts from Hamburg, Germany
Moonshine Mojo from Finland
I had really fun
And the bike ride back home
I just love my city
And a tag for the grinding architect @jrtrussell
for concerts, european football ( I hate that word “soccer”) and friends
Some shots from Friday afternoon.
We’re not quite at the peak of the fall foliage season yet, but we’re close. This was as we were getting settled into our site. There were quite a few ducks (probably a dozen or so), and a couple even waddled into our campsite.

Friday night we also hiked around a nearby lake. No pictures of the hike…just the sign.
Friday night’s sunset from our campsite on Limekiln Lake.
We also hiked Black Bear Mountain on Saturday! (the picture I used for my LPU profile was also taken in the same spot four years ago.) Elevation 2,445 feet (745 meters), and a 2.2 mile hike to the summit (about 3.5 kilometers). So, over the course of two days, we hiked approximately 6.9 miles (11 kilometers)
From the summit:
