I feel you. I’m just happy as f**k that autumn is coming. I just can’t wait.

I’m happy when it’s anything but summer, I’m waiting on winter personally.

I hate both spring and summer…I don’t know, I just can’t stand the sun
I love winter too, the problem is that I’m not able to walk on the ice/snow. I’m so clumsy. I always fall down

You have to be careful, that’s how you break bones. Also, wear the correct shoes.

Yep. I know.
But apparently I’m not even able to stand still
I’m just a walking mess :bowing_woman:t3:

Tread lightly when it’s icy, don’t put all your power down, and try to keep your feet flat. Keep as big a contact patch between your feet and the ground as possible. Walking will be a little more awkward and less natural, but you won’t slip as much. No sudden movements or changes in your centre of gravity either.

I feel like a baby learning how to ride a bike.
But thank you for the advice. I’ll try to keep them in mind while I’ll be sliding on my ass on the stairs

You’re a physicist, right? Take the scientific approach. lol

Nooope, I’m a chemist (not yet actually). Maybe I should just take some salt with me. Just lowering the freezing point of water

Wait, who was the physicist then? :joy:

What kind of salt have you developed? It would need some time if you’re doing it as you walk. lol

Not me  But would be nice to now him/her

Nothing special. The easiest way is sodium chloride.

Would it melt the ice quickly enough as you’re walking though? Doesn’t it need some time to take effect (by which time you’d have walked over it and be long gone)?

I was planning to throw it in front of me before I start walking. Just give myself 10 meters, or something, advantage (I would not walk faster than 1 meter/minute. I was thinking about a new pair of shoes too. Something with a salt sole. It would give enough friction. I still need to figure out the detail tho :joy:

How do you plan on throwing salt 10m away? :joy:

It would wouldn’t carry enough momentum, it would disperse and the act of you throwing it would probably find you on the ground because of the sudden change in centre of gravity and the forces exerted lol

Just buy shoes with spiked soles or those metal spike attachments for the soles (I can’t remember the technical name).

If I can’t do it with my hands I would find some kind of gun. I guess
That’s true, that’s why I’ll start while I’m standing on the door, then I’ll take a towel, stand on it after the 10 mt, and start again. That’s my plan
I didn’t even know they had a technical name, but yeah I thought about that too. It would be funny :joy:
My mom suggested me to put socks on my shoes, but I’m not shameless enough to do it

But where would they take energy while I’m walking? Batteries?

Yes, a little pack :grimacing:

 or if rob wants in on my idea, then he can set up his torch on the toe and we hook it up to a couple butane tanks on your belt :joy:
