What was the first song by Linkin Park you've ever heared?

I heard “One Step Closer” on the radio when it first come out. It was 9 o’clock at night and I was sitting in my room.

Haha, please don’t hit me. I wasn’t a huge music fan back in 2001. I was 10 or 11 at the time. My friend was a huge Backstreetboy fan. And I adored the Spice Girls. And Dragonball Z at the them :P.
And all of a sudden my best friend (the BSB fan) barges in my home. Drags me to the tv. And there was a music channel, where you could call in the song you wanted to hear. She called for two songs Sonne from Rammstein was the first. And me in my SG phase was like… waaaaaaaaaaah? And then she called in One Step Closer. And I was like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. How the hell can you listen to this? And then at night… I was laying in my bed. And all I could hear were Chesters screams: shut uppppppppp when I’m talking to you! I heard Mike’s voice, saw that clip in front of me the entire time! And all I did the next day was listen to that song!
I wanted the album from my mom, and she was like: hell no! And then I sneakily asked my dad. And we bought Hybrid Theory. Haha but soon after he regretted it, cause I didn’t play anything else anymore :P.

Good memories! And Linkin Park, hasn’t changed a bit. Still every single song touches my core and makes me even love them more!

mine was Papercut and i was in my dad’s car when i was 2 years old

i had heard in the end, crawling, numb, etc., but the song that really got me into linkin park was definitely somewhere i belong

The first song i’ve ever heared was Forgotten, i’ve heared here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOGxpbqSpWA

It was love at first listen.

I first heard ‘In The End’ in 2002 at school. I overhead someone playing it and went and looked it up when I got home

X

Mine was ‘In The End’. I saw music video in MTV in my country in 2001 and what? I became LP fan:)

mine was crawling. i ´saw the video on mtv right after i moved to berlin. i was like "this band is insane. it’s better than anything i’ve ever heard!! "

Somewhere i belong (during a tv commercial) (pre meteora)

In the end. Was on my friends computer in 2001, clicked on this song and fell in love. Had my cd player on repeat, couldnt get enough of this song & album.

It was in 2001 in my junior high school gym. Some company was doing a presentation about self-esteem and they played Crawling. The presentation was lame, but the song was stuck in my head.

Mine was “Crawling” in 6th grade! We had a relaxed schedule for Honors English in the morning, so she let us play any cds we had. Tyler was so excited to play it, Yaz and I fell in love in an instant.

Went to school an Nsync and Spears fan… came back home with “devil music.” My mother was in denial for years haha

It was One Step Closer, way back then when the telly announced a new band. (I don’t remember the channel anymore… mtv? When they still played music maybe. Haha.)
I remember their sound was so great and new somehow and also the look of the band was intriguing, to be honest.
I think OSC also paved my way into music in general, so to speak. Hybrid Theory was the first CD I ever bought from my own pocket money. After that I became a bigger music fan. Good times.

The first song I heard was One Step Closer. I think 2000 or 2001? I’m old ^ ^

In the End

The first song I heard was “With You,” at my cousin’s house, while playing Rainbow Six 3 haha. I instantly fell in love with LP, and “With You” has been my favorite song ever since.

It was either Somewhere I belong or Numb or From the Inside, can’t actually remember which one, but I totally saw a video on MTV.

“In The End” was the first LP song I heard. Still get chills to this day listening to it. Hybrid Theory is such a PRO album!!

FOR ME IT WAS CRAWING I WAS PARTYING AT A FRIENDS HOUSE AND IT CAME ON THE RADIO I WAS LIKE WHO SINGS THAT SHIT FROM THAT POINT ON I WAS HOOKED THAT WEEKEND I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT THEIR CD HT I COULDN’T GET ENOUGH OF LP I STILL CAN’T LP ALL DAY EVERYDAY

Carousel. It was like more than decade ago.

My cousin had sent me a copy(not original) of HTEP & it was the first track.
