Mine was In The End, first heard it on youtube, loved it ever since
I guess the first music i heard was ācrawlingā in the radio, but i only started to like LP when I listend to āin the endā.when a friend showed me the cd.
The first song was āIn the Endā and I loved it, I never get tired of listening to that song and my whole family loves it!. Itās really intense!
My first song was āIn the Endā (like most people apparently haha), I heard this song in Youtube (when I was looking for an anime for watching haha). I never forget this moment hahaā¦ It was the first time Iām interesting by music.
āWhat Iāve Doneā in Transformers. That song was perfect in that movie! And after that, I got my first mp3 player and started buying music. So āWhat Iāve Doneā essentially started my music obsession as well haha
My first song was New Divide
One Step Closer 13 years agoā¦ wowā¦thats a long timeā¦ I immediately fell in love with the LP sound at this point
I think In The End or One Step Closer, when I was like 5 o 6 years old :3
If my memory serves me right, I guess it might be crawlingā¦
I heard it when I was 10 yrs oldā¦
āNumbā.
I remember I used to read about LP in magazines (I was seven). But some time later I saw them on TV. The music video for āNumbā was a hot one. One could turn on a random music channel and see Linkin Park there. I loved the video and the song and often re-watched it.
Technically, the first song I heard by Linkin Park was Wake because Minutes To Midnight was my first time listening to Linkin Park and I didnāt really listen to modern rock/alternative radio back then.
āOne Step Closerā from HT was the first LP song I heard. I remember the experience clearly because of the music, but also 'cos of a weird event that occurred later that day.
So I was living in Virginia. My family and I were driving to my cousinās birthday party which was going to be a roller skating rink. I was 11. My cousin was 8, hence the skating rink. hahaā¦
Well on the drive to the rink I heard āOne Step Closerā on the radio. I donāt know what it was about the song that spoke to me at that point in my short life, but I loved it. I liked it, my brother liked it and even my dad commented that it was a cool song. Fast forward to the birthday party at the skating rink. Iām skating around the rink, minding my own business and one of the employees of the rink comes up to me and says, āthe DJ wants to talk to you.ā I was taken aback. I didnāt know if I was in trouble or what. I approach the booth where the DJ is and he tells me, āIām tired of playing all this Pop stuff. Iām going to play a song right now and if anyone asks, Iām going to say you requested it. That cool?ā I told him it was cool, but didnāt really get what he meant until I skated away. He was tired of playing all the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, etc. and he needed a fall guy if he got called out by his boss for playing something heavier. He didnāt even tell me what he was going to play.
Two minutes later and I was listening to āOne Step Closerā again. It was now blaring through the speakers of the skating rink and everyone except my brother and I are looking around confused. As I skated past the DJ booth he gave me a thumbs up and I nodded. That DJ solidified my liking of the song. Afterwards my dad asked him the band name and song name. We mustāve missed it on the radio or something. Iām not saying I couldnāt have discovered LP some other way or later on by myself, but I feel like that skating rink incident was the catalyst in my fandom.
That DJ at that skating rink could be the reason Iām such a big fan. Who knows?
New Divide
That was an incredibly long time ago, but I remember hearing Bleed it Out all the time on the radio (I didnāt know it was Linkin Park and really didnāt know what LP was at that time).
What Iāve Done (honestly do not know, I wrote here already or not, but Iāll write again)[smile]
I saw a clip on TV
Mine was Breaking the Habit. I was going through a low point about four years ago, and a friend showed me the song because he knew what I was going through. I fell in love with is and is my favorite song of all time.
To me really like she tooā¦ was a time when I have included a clip and I had tears streaming down. The song is very takes the soul.
Papercut at a monster truck show lol I loved it and all its hypeā¦ I was nine lol ten years later Iām still a huge fan!!!
In the End when it came out and was on air.
And I heard it and thought: Thatās awsome.
But I didnāt know from whom this song had been.
But I was like THREE (Spring 2001)!!! AND I STILL REMEMBER!
Then I loved every single by LP and bought my first album in 2010. (The first album I ever had/bought with my own money!) It was ATS.
first one was actually crawling, but i only listened to it for about 10 seconds before it freaked me out haha! (this was months before i heard āin the endā)
the song that got me to be a fan was in the end!
