What was the first song by Linkin Park you've ever heared?

One Step Closer is the first song I heard from LP. At least that’s what I remember. Probably I heard Numb or In The End on the Radio before but hadn’t known that it was LP.

BTW One Step Closer is their best song in my opinion. Maybe the best song in the world. Maybe.

Unfortunately it was Somewhere I Belong. But from this song i’ve strated to listen previous songs and for the next month Linkin Park became my favourite band! Stll now
They changed their style, but We all are also changing, we growing up and treir music always following the time we live in. I love that they never stand on one place, but move forward!
Love Linkin Park! Love you, my LPU-family

I heard “One Step Closer” on the cable tv Alternative Music channel back in (I think) 1999. We bought our first house and I was painting in our basement and would hear the song come up every couple of hours. The song stuck out to me because my wife and I were having “discussions” about things in this new house, and the song cracked me up because it was exactly what I wanted to say, but couldn’t. I didn’t buy the CD till 2002 and then realized that I had also heard “In the End” and “Crawling” but didn’t realize it was the same band.

Mine was in the end. my grade 5 teacher was a hardcore LP fan and she showed my class the “in the end” video. Then i fell in love with LP. Sometime I really need to go back to the school and thank that teacher:P

Mine was Breaking The Habit  my oldest brother had Meteora and it was his favorite at the time, and after I listened to it just about 3829382 times, he let me have it. Been a #Soldier since 2002!

I believe it was Numb. A friend introduced me to Linkin Park and forced me to listen to them 5-6 years ago. Since that I’ve been a HUGE fan!

Mine was Don’t Stay, heard it for the first time when I was 6 [biggrin]

Crawling, back in 2001

when i was younger i kept hearing this amazing song and i never followed up on who wrote it. three years later i heard it again, numb, then i started hearing mtm that my sister had and from then on i havent stopped!

it was “one step closer” in early 2001…seen the video on MTV and didn’t like it ( sorry - it’s very hard to write that) because I thought ‘Why is he screaming all the time?’… but then “Crawling” was released and got my attention. After that I became a fan…unconditionally! …And I love “one step closer” [biggrin]

MY father bought me a notebook and i asked my friend to copy for me in that notebook some movies and music , it was when i was 13-and he wrote me some movies and some music videos - and there was a folder LP - and there was some of their videos.
The first i opened was ONE STEP CLOSER - and i understood that THIS IS IT!
This is the first song i ve heard and i fell in love!
also in that folder was IN THE ENS, CRAWLING,NUMB,SOMEWHERE I BELONG.

It was autumn, i remember that specially that i was listening and watching those videos and there was raining - The first day of my LP-Fan life))))

My first song was And One… and i think i found it on napster(if any of you younger have heard of that :stuck_out_tongue: ) under another name… realised it wasnt the band i was looking for since the voices were really different. think i found it with the real name on myspace or something like that not long before One Step Closer hit the fan

It was “Papercut”. I remember we were at a friend’s house, then he played the album from start. After the meeting I borrowed it [biggrin]

IN THE END.

I was on elementary. sixth grade.

I’m not sure but I’ve a memory of my big sister listening HT and intro of Papercut is stuck in my head. And it always reminds me of my childhood somehow… [biggrin] And when I “found” LP again in one and half year ago and heard Papercut again, I was blown away.

I am pretty sure it was In The End some time back in 2002 where the music video premiered. We used to have a music program called Boogie, where we’d get the top 10 most played music in Denmark, and In The End was on the list for several weeks.

But even though I liked the song, it wasn’t until Somewhere I Belong that I really started to listen to LP and then I became a fan.

One Step Closer, but I had no idea of the name of the band. I was just a kid of course :\

from the inside 2004

Points of Authority in Summer 2001. My cousin was blasting it in the RV when my family had a road trip. I only remembered hearing Points of Authority and Cure for the Itch. The rest I really didn’t remember.

One Step Closer… and I was infected
