Just before I left for work, I looked up my diary from 2018 were my total Linkin Park passion started (besides MTM, I know, soooo late ) cause I wanted to read my thoughts back then.
I keep a journal just in phases and sadly enough I mostly stopped in this summer.
But my secend entry relating to Linkin Park was this:

I love this song and also the video because I remember when I first saw it (wow, 16 years ago) I felt something. I relate to the slow walk Chester and Mike do with the rest of the world running around them, life often feels like that for me. I love Chester’s scream and the little kid who screams shaking the world itself, I can imagine that he represents Chester and many of us as children. Mr Hahn did an amazing job. 97m views and counting… Thank you

To me the song is about the emotions we hide inside ourselves and are unable to let go or express out loud. Especially the dark ones. Just talking to someone you trust can be so freeing and you won’t feel so alone. I hope this song shows us we are not alone in our fears and pain.

So,finally,about From the inside:
It is also one of my alltime favourites,it’s you’re in the song from the first second you hear it,and it’s such an energetic song,the music could not fit better to the words,i especially love the lines with “tension is building inside steadily”,and how it builds up together with the music(and also gotta love mike’s rapping!) to finally the chorus (with the short guitar riff before it escalates)"TAAAKEE EVERYTHING FROM THE INSIIDEE "; and to me this song is important and a strong reminder for myself,to not waste my whole energy on the same dark thoughts/bad people, and also helps to just let it all out , and as @zanybelle said,to trust ourselves.
And yeah,the video is great work too…
When we did a presentation in school about a musician/band/series we liked with showing a song/scene,i actually almost took this song to show… now i kinda regret it i didn’t do it. But my class isn’t really used to listen to heavier music,and i wanted them to try to understand and get into Linkin Park, and i was scared they might would just label them as a heavy metal band they wouldn’t like to check out more songs from.
I loved reading your thoughts on that,they were amazing

The little boy in the music video is the best example for this. Look at the world now - anywhere is war and so many people are so rude and angry and even ‘so called friends’ - so it’s good to say to them:

It was on Ig and twitter. A story was going around about Mike, with details when he played in NYC. The details seemed extremely suspicious to me, esp for NY so I didn’t believe it. It was basically, if he was truly okay or not and the disagreements spiraled out of control from there.
As for GD, LP didn’t make a statement so of course fans are wondering why. And that’s about it.

Yes. Mike’s been seen in public zoning out (which we all know is unusual for him), talking to Chester. The zoning out was worrying Matt and Dan. I’ve watched a handful of videos and have caught those moments.

That is the reason why I am here.
As I started listening intensively to Linkin Park, I also read comments on YouTube. And was so shocked about the viciousness of it. Especially against Mike and Talinda . So much hate
How can people write those things?
Knowing that everybody can read it, even the kids of the two?
And everybody seemed to know exactly, what the remaining members of Linkin Park have to do. And there is just this one correct way.
That brought my decision to pay these 10 bucks a year. Just to show my unconditional support.
I wasn’t even interested in any kind of fan community. On the contrary, this “Linkin Park Soldiers” I thought really strang.

This sounds strange and worrying . Can you share the link? I assume you mean zoning out talking about Chester? Maybe he’s just been over it so many times it’s difficult to become emotional anymore Hopefully he’s alright…

Very profound lyrics and ones I can understand well. Trust is never a constant as it depends on the world/people around you. I never fully trust anyone, which is probably weird… But I think trust is earned and something you give when deserved. I think the person you learn to trust overtime is more genuine than someone you trust just because they make you believe you should. I don’t know if that makes sense to you but it might help her. Trust is a slow process and any breach of trust is a learning curve to ensure our futures will be better. I wish her well and send her strength

Unfortunately i found out about the forums way too late😔i would’ve loved to be here already for years! And i wish i was 5 or 10 years older,that i could’ve seen them live😕
But i am incredibly happy to be now here,and of course to be alive at the same time as them and to know them and the music. I can’t even imagine now, how dumb my life would be without Linkin Park…

In my family, i am manipulating a bit,bc i always play lp songs on the piano,so my younger brother starts humming them unconsciously​:joy:and also my mum likes the melodies,she doesn’t like the original stuff only this acoustic thing(but slowly but surely she will like the real songs too!)

That’s the age-old beauty of the Internet. Comments sections and (not this one specifically) message boards are great tools for trolls to pick each other apart while they hide behind their computer or their phone screens. Seemingly without a care in the world for the people they’re attacking.
