Tinley Park Review!

Well it finally happened. I FINALLY got to see my all-time favorite band tonight! I posted my story of unfortunate events that have kept me from seeing LP a while back. But tonight was amazing!! Mutemath was interesting to say the least. But their Drummer was definitely a badass. And the lead singer played probably at least 5 instruments… Incubus was alright. I’m not a big fan of them but they got the party started. Then Linkin Park came and rocked the doors off of Tinley park! Non-stop energy covering every single album and 4 Encores on top of that!!! AMAZING!

As some of you might know. I have to get some rest because i have to be up to go down to Indianapolis and see them again…

Oh… And did i mention i get to meet them tomorrow too?! FUCK YES!!! Greatest weekend of my life thusfar.

Absolutely AMAZING!!!

What did you guys think of Tinley?

Tinley Park was amazing. This was my first concert, and it seems like the whole arena was there to see Linkin Park.

I agree MuteMath were better than I thought, Incubus was good as well, the girlfriend on the other hand thought they weren’t better than MuteMath.

I lost my voice singing outloud, I hope you save yours for the rest of the weekend!

On a side note: Where can I get a bootleg of today’s concert? I tried going to downloads.linkinpark.com but they totally skipped over our town… =X

Was so much better than last time they were there for Projekt Rev. I liked the show a lot and laughed when Mike messed up which song they were gonna play and was like oops! lol And oh man you could feel the heat off those flames at the front of the PIT hardcore. it was intense! Got myself 2 picks from Mike and gave up a drumstick from Chester to a friend who caught it with me =] Amazing show all around

Wow, you’re so lucky. Your M&G notification, did you get it a week prior to show or less?

Yea man i was looking too. Hopefully they’ll release it soon. I want it! haha And yea my voice was thrashed after like the third song. I can kinda talk today so asking them questions is gonna be like having a baby or something. lmao

Yea that was pretty funny. He starts talking about the next song and the rest of the band just started jamming out to something else. haha

I got my notification two days ago via email. Now im just waiting to see where it is exactly. I have a two hour drive ahead of me in a faster timezone on top of that. lol Gotta love indiana.

Last night was amazing I’m so jealous you get to see them again and get to meet them

I had an amazing time last night. I liked the Meet and Greet without the table! Good stuff!

I was going to argue this, and then I thought about PR07 and realized that my love for PR07 @ First Midwest wasn’t so much that Linkin Park had an especially amazing performance, but rather that Chester filled in for Ryan Shuck during Julien-K’s set. (I still maintain that PR08 @ Alpine Valley is the best LP performance I’ve seen, between the set list and the sound quality of Alpine Valley, especially compared to First Midwest Amphitheatre.)

I avoided reading about this concert, because I always knew what was coming in the past (part of why I loved PR08 was that Sweet Child of Mine was a surprise), so I was HUGELY surprised and excited by Sabotage. Hearing my favorite band perform a song from a group that I consider to be legendary in music made my night.

Edit: I guess this is my first post since they got rid of the original LPU forums… how the hell do I change my name?! I thought it was dumb to replace the Sparkart forums in the first place, but now this is just frustrating…

What a great show! I finally got to see them for the first time. I was supposed to see them in Dallas last year, but they had to cancel the show because Chester got sick. Getting chosen for the Meet & Greet last night totally made up for it. It was awesome getting to meet them!

Tinley was AWESOME!!! I was down in the pit area near the front of the stage. Sad to say I was also into the Incubus set that I didn’t have much energy left when LP came on but I mustered whatever I had left. Loved the setlist especially the first song and the way they played it. Anyway, hope you enjoyed meeting them but I’m sure that’s a given

Hey David, check this:

On a side note: I wish there was more moshing, everyone was too focused or too tired to mosh. When they played Victimized/Qwerty, I saw nothing, so I was pushing people around me to try to start something, and I even pushed my girlfriend… NOTHING!

But it was all made up for when the girlfriend pointed out a mosh pit out in the back during the last song, One Step Closer, and I pushed everyone out the way to get to it.

Day 3 and my voice is still lost, getting worse everyday, best experience of my life.

It certainly was a spectacular show!! I missed seeing Incubus being over at the m&g group–but the trade was SO worth it. Intense to meet the band… WOW. It would have been so awesome to have seen you all there too! I was in the pit and yes, the flame heat was sweet! If anyone cares to read, I posted my concert experience on my website (the About page): www.monochromeruin.com.
This was my first meet and greet too–what a rush the whole night was!!

Ever consider that many LP fans actually want to watch the performance, rather than having ignorant, inebriated fools jumping all over them? I, and many others, get pit tickets to be close to the performance… not to have the few moshers ruin the concert.
