The beauty of an ever questioning mind

Thank you so much for responding to my question I have written songs before but yours just blow me away I been writing since 2016

Just keep at it @turners34 , the more you write, the more ideas you gain. The lyrics just get better and you can connect everything you say in a much smoother way. I actually can see how LP has also “evolved” in their lyrical writing also. I think LP’s peak was A Thousand Suns, it is a VERY deep album, but very underrated unfortunately. But to me, it tells a story of where we are headed as a society if you analyze each song and how organized the track listing is to give you this “idea”.

That is actually what i want to do to people, to “blow them away” as you put it. I feel music is a great tool to connect with people and make them see other things that some can be obliviously blind to. Some of my stuff actually have double meaning a lo Cobain-esque.

That’s why I started writing music and to also express my feelings and music is a great way to make you feel better when your down as well

You are totally right about that @turners34. I have written some of my best stuff when I have been feeling down and such. Most of my stuff is kind of “gloomy” we can say, but it really is how I have felt at points. If you ever feel stuck writing something, or if you need a “helping” hand, I can definitely help you. I have even told @rickvanmeijel the same thing. I would be honored to collab with LP peeps!

Yeah same especially my own song that I wrote which is now called still wanting and a big thank you to everyone that read that song and give me ideas for the title of the song

Song 1 of 5 for today (Consider this a Late Xmas gift lol) The song is called “Checkmate” off of my 3rd mixtape “Let’s take this Back to Poetry”. The song is basically a “check” between good and evil. How most ideas that have been molded unto us are just that, ideas. And how it can lead us to doom at the end (Which seems to be happening now). Well, without further a do…

Lyrics:

Checkmate
Insanity debate?
Nope, it’s just time to change your fate
I’m so ahead of time I have to move the clock hand forward
Too many stuck on useless setbacks that they have their IQ’s lowered
No wonder we can’t see any progress and move forward
Juggling
Between right and wrong, it’s mind boggling
How can you be struggling?
Are you too slow?
To know
What’s obviously a blow
To your way of being
Because they tell you it’s freeing
While your very own identity it is peeling
Following trends
That society lends
Life’s structure bends
This isn’t progress
Just what they tell you is “success”
You’re all still playing checkers while I’m on chess

Checkmate
Insanity debate?
Nope, it’s just time to change your fate
Make you think
Let these words sink
In, give you a clue to the missing link
This is a trick
If you’re not slick
It can pick
You apart
From the moment you start
Breathing, and the moment your heart
Starts beating
Without a welcome greeting
Without telling you, you’d be competing
In this world full of misleading
Cheating
People who love feeding
Off what they think they should be doing
Wrong things they keep pursuing
Ideologies implanted since you were a baby
Maybe
That’s the gravy
On your potato
Because you can’t let go
You stick with the shit that sticks better though
It’s OK to dip your toes in the water
But don’t stick around like cattle awaiting their slaughter
Or you’ll be passing on these traits as far as your great granddaughter

Probably not, with cryogenics
Yeah, freezing your genetics
Creating soulless humans through synthetics
I know this rap is all over the place
But these words are just here to showcase
Information so we can touch base
Keep up with my pace
Follow me on this rhetorical staircase
Let’s see if at the end of the day you can keep on a straight face

Checkmate
Insanity debate?
Nope, it’s just time to change your fate
It’s to wake up from the dream
Break ties from this societal scheme
Because it’s gotten out of hand and it’s become extreme
I do think there’s more to this life, but we’ve been on the wrong road
Not questioning, we’ve taken the one society showed
This in a way, progress, it has certainly slowed
Everything now is leading to a one way street
So many souls now in complete deceit
Wasting time on meaningless things, how sweet
Everything is just an option
From ideals that were put up for adoption
Everyone just seemed to follow the rest
To give this purpose a test
While “they” had different ideas for this nest
Control of the north, south, east and west
That’s what they really obsessed
To make this vision of “paradise” for them
They set the rules and also the mayhem
Since the times Jesus rose from Bethlehem

This playground has been orchestrated
Fabricated
In a way which would leave some fascinated
Devastated
That their lives are regulated
If it ever is debated
Then you are just outdated
“Get with the times to see the progress celebrated”
Fucking overrated
Bullshit that’s advocated
Leaves all these people so jaded
Readily available to have their souls traded
It’s so premeditated
Devilishly calculated
That everyone is so automated
In making decisions dictated
To make you feel that you are actually liberated
Fancy words to keep you a slave while they stimulated
Proposals of entertainment to make you appreciated
And distract you while your ideals they contaminated
Even your men they have emasculated
Your women they corrupted
While they disrupted
Motherly traits, which were interrupted
For the “progress” of equality
There just isn’t any quality
Anymore, just frivolity
Battling over gender
Both being the offender
But neither will surrender
Progress? Not here
Corruption until we disappear
Progress is just a fancy word for the ear
Checkmate
Insanity debate?
Nope, it’s just time to change your fate
But I see you have all taken the bait
It’s a humanly trait
I guess now it really is too late

I would have quoted your answer from above but I am on mobile- so quoting is impossible but I mean the lines where you said: „if you reach the breaking point, the point of no return - all you find is bliss“ … very good said, it’s exactly what I feel too, but to give this feel such a great expression with these words, you just nailed it on the point. And this is what I experience as a great skill or talent of yours: to find the right words to express high complex feels! I am very impressed

Happy you found your way in our middle, you are an enrichment for our family soldier. Very warm welcome my friend! :sunny:

It’s deep for sure, simple but very deep. I feel you are mentioning your own faults in the song and also trying to help other see their faults so they can correct them. The world we see today is definitely going “downhill” so to speak. The tears of people not knowing what one is feeling, that even a helping hand seems to be so distant when everyone around you has their own stuff going on or don’t have that will to help because of “pride”. I like it and should keep the title of “Still waiting”, because in the end, that’s all everyone feeling a certain way is, they are still waiting for that change or help.

Thank you so much for that it means a lot that a lot coming from a fellow songwriter

Thanks! yes, it is a ride within the mental state unfortunately. But this is what I have concluded. We go through a breaking point, where we start realizing that its enough, that we don’t want this to keep on going. Every human being in the world has the power in their hands to change the world and make it a better place. I am very thankful that you guys see where I am coming from and that my words also touch you as they have touched me.

Gonna check your sc when I am on pc… you do the music on your own too?

I wish lol. I just pick out instrumentals on YouTube and see if I can work with them. But most of my methods are write, rehearse, instrumental, record. I wish i could make music like that but its not easy, so i never really got into it. My songs are Non-profit this way and I’m ok with that, as my main goal is mainly to gather people to listen to my music and get them “thinking” so to speak.

No worries man, any time. EVERYONE has the potential to exercise and explore different hobbies and become better at them. I know for one that I am a living example of it. At 15 I had NO INTEREST in music, LP changed that. Now, its like its in me, I can make rhymes and make them understandable. Make them have a DEEP meaning behind them so the listener can question stuff and relate to it. Out of nowhere I just started writing and made it SO much better.

Getting back to my songs lol, this is the 2nd song of 5 today. This song is called B0rdr’5 X’d (Borders Crossed in leet lol) from my 4th mixtape “Memes & Themes”. This is one of my “shorter” songs so to speak, extremely simple. It talks about dreams basically. 33% of our lives we spend just “sleeping”. How many adventures have we had during these dreams? And what if life is a dream itself? (The weird sounding backwards sound is me saying “Wake Up”) Well here it is

B0rdr’5 X’d: https://ufile.io/4a9gu

Lyrics:

Have you ever had dreams?
In which nothing is what it seems?
In which you pushed yourself to extremes?
To the point they felt surreal
Like a sixth sense feeling that we want to unseal
Who knows what our subconscious thoughts would reveal
Thirty three percent of our lives we spend asleep
Eight hours a day counting sheep
Can we be living other lives on the cheap?
In an odd world that manipulates our every thought
Even bringing back memories which you forgot
How do you know it’s not real, on the spot?
How can we explain
When sometimes even memories of a dream wash away like rain
What message do they actually contain?
So much is left unknown
Dreams we have are our own
In both the good and bad tone
Playing a game of charades
Dreams dropping down like cascades
In all of them, you are the ace of spades
Get Lost
In the wave of reality at any cost
In the dream world, how many borders have you crossed?
The everlasting riddle
Keeping on the diddle
But yet we’re still all in the middle

{Get Lost
In the wave of reality at any cost
In the dream world, how many borders have you crossed?} X4

Lol xD. These span from 6 mixtapes recorded in roughly 3 years :P, so that’s why. If it was newer of course it would take time :stuck_out_tongue:

Song 3 of 5 for today:

The Road from my 5th mixtape “RH-”.

The Road talks about how I am already reaching an age where its time to move on from my family and pave my own way. To leave my friends and family and maybe even start my own family. Grow my knowledge and make myself better. It is a song that really connects to me as I took my time writing it. One day I will just leave it all behind and go my own way, that is just the natural route every human being takes.

The Road: https://ufile.io/986yv

Lyrics:

It’s times like these
That I feel at unease
But, I must grab the keys
Leave it all behind
I can no longer be confined
To this bind
It’s time to march away
These scars made me the man I am today
But, I can no longer stay
It’s time for a transformation
Intense modification
Needed for a new adaptation
I must travel
To unravel
New adventures on this gravel
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going
It shows no signs of slowing
I must keep growing
Times a bitch
But I’m looking to get rich
In knowledge, which
Will help me out
To sprout
More ideas in a time of drought
I’m just not a kid anymore
But I wonder what’s in store
For me through that door
Am I going to make the right choice?
That’s why I devoice
I just simply want to rejoice
I’m about to move to a new stage
I don’t even look my own age
But I need to engage
That I’m no longer a teenage
Boy
I need to destroy
All that shit that used to annoy
Me
It’s time to flee
Be carefree
Over the sea
As much as I hate it
It’s hard to sedate it
It’s saddening to the point it leaves me frustrated
It hurts that you’ve waited
Years that have been debated
But, I feel it’s for the best and I will be compensated
It’s hard thinking about leaving your folk
Kind of like when you choke
On smoke
And your eyes turn red and the tears flow
But on the low
You know
It aches
Because out of the many mistakes
And headaches
Has lead to this point in time
Where it’s time to move up and climb
To the natural order
Of being alone or crossing the border
And moving on from being a hoarder
Of these emotions
That could fill oceans
With notions
It’s time to move on and test
What had one stressed
And sometimes depressed
Because as tough as it is, you still gotta digest
The simple idea that the nest
You’ve come to love, must be left and you have to start your own quest
At best
I had to let it out of my chest
Because it was so heavily compressed
It’s just the start
To depart
From the part
Of my heart
That I call home
Leaving it behind, so I can roam
Search for my own
Testing the unknown
And make my own throne
Go down my own road
And let the past erode
Transition into a new season and episode

It’s times like these
That I feel at unease
But, I must grab the keys
Leave it all behind
I can no longer be confined
To this bind
I must move on
Before I’m gone
From this world, I no longer wish to be a pawn
In this game of chess
What a mess
But I possess
The power
To tower
Over my sins at zero hour
I take a look back
To times I was on the wrong track
But I’m glad I put on this flak
Jacket
I stopped being a part of that bracket
But I still better myself
Enrich my wealth
Wealth as in health
While keeping a low profile, stealth
Camoflouge
I want to sabotage
The mirage
To show them it is conceivable
But yet unbelievable
I want to make it as perceivable
That I can make this transition
That’s my number one mission
I know it will be tough but, with the right nutrition
I can become mentally strong
To this place I don’t want to belong
But it’s still a long
Road ahead
But my old self has to be dead
In order to have a straight head
Erase it, so it ceases to exist
Put it on my blacklist
And not answer it’s calls because it’s been dismissed
What I will miss though is my blood
There’s always sun after the flood
But I must do this or be a dud
As I’ve grown older
I will admit I’ve grown colder
But mark my words I would never give you the shoulder
My family I love
They are above
Many things in my life thereof
My reason to be alive
I don’t want them to feel like I deprive
Them affection
But it’s just a part of my complexion
I’m thankful for the protection
You did a good
Job, even if I was misunderstood
With all you could
Because as tough as it is, you still gotta digest
The simple idea that the nest
You’ve come to love, must be left and you have to start your own quest
At best
I had to let it out of my chest
Because it was so heavily compressed
It’s just the start
To depart
From the part
Of my heart
That I call home
Leaving it behind, so I can roam
Search for my own
Testing the unknown
And make my own throne
Go down my own road
And let the past erode
Transition into a new season and episode

Oh hahaha I didn’t realise this

The Road is amazing, I can relate to that feeling

This!! that’s one of my favourite quote!

So there will be 2 more songs today!? thank you for sharing with us! Really like your lyrics and rapping style… :sun_with_face:

Yup, definitely have MORE than what soundcloud allowed me to have. The time they give you just isn’t enough if you write a lot. This is why you only have like 2 songs from my 4th mixtape on there lol.

As for The Road, glad you can relate man. It is one of those songs that kind makes me sad. Especially the lines that “The nest must be left”.
