I don’t think LP fans would want to go all the way to see STP just to see Chester Bennington live. Not that STP fans nor LP fans ever like Chester taking over STP lead singer.

The LP guys have a chemistry that just works; if any of the guys were to stray permanently the band just wouldn’t be the same. I think at this point that they all realize that, but they are also grown men with outside interests from the group. And if the Jason Newsted and Metallica story has taught us anything, it is that stifling your bandmates’ creative pursuits doesn’t end well. Chester’s not going anywhere anytime soon. He’s just stretching his legs a bit. And frankly, after being in a cast, who wouldn’t want to?

I don’t see why people don’t like it that Chester has joined STP. It’s the same thing with DBS and Mike’s FM. They need to get stuff out that doesn’t belong/match/fit or whatever with LP and that’s their way of doing it.
It’s not like he’s leaving LP or anything, he never will. The guys have such a strong bond, plus they’re all very supportive of each other. If the guys had told Chester that it wouldn’t be a wise idea to go with STP he wouldn’t. So as long as he balances both bands, why not? He’s gaving fun and that’s what matters.

I am excited they will be in San Antonio! I will go see Chester with just about any band. I really liked DBS. I am happy they are the type of artists that can do this kind of thing & it works. I feel sad for the haters.

Does anything happen in San Antonio in July? I’m supposed to go out there for July Fourth weekend and it seems like the city’s in hibernation mode at that point.

What do u expect? It’ll be like over 100°F in TX midsummer, too hot to do stuff…

JESTAR, I don’t really know what’s going on in July. However, there’s lots to do. Especially if you’re staying downtown. Yes, it will prob. be pretty hot. You never know what the weather will be like… it is Texas & the weather is bipolar.

I’ve never been, and sadly the hottest time of the is the most convenient time for me to go. I’ve visited Phoenix, Arizona at the end of August, and the place was a virtual ghost town (115 degrees).

There are many things to do like i said. It’s usually pretty humid, so the heat is a little different from AZ. San Antonio main income, as a city, is the tourists that visit our city. There’s a lot of history & really cool things to visit. The Japanese Tea Garden is a beautiful site. Lots to do around the Alamo. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ll deal with the humidity. New York in the summer is no picnic either, and I’ll just be glad to be somewhere different! Thanks @TX_Fire_Eyes!

no problem. We are seeing LP here in May & I can’t wait!! We’re actually going to see STP with Chester in April. Gonna be a fun year.

Yes! I am really excited about this and can’t wait to see the boys live in April. Such great news.

@TX_Fire_Eyes - Super jealous! Though I just got the pre-sale for the EU tour this summer so hopefully that bodes well for some US action in the fall. I’d LOVE to get to Rock in Rio. LP AND Metallica headlining. EPIC.

Yeah I will be going to the LA one. Anyone tagging along  I also like stp

Yea, they don’t come to San Antonio often. Had to jump on both shows Chester is gonna be singing. I absolutely love him

The San Antonio show is at the Aztec Theatre, not HOB.
