Second to None vs Remember The Name - Poll

As we know even though the official artist name is different (Styles Of Beyond feat. Mike Shinoda instead of Fort Minor) theses 2 sick hip-hop songs are from the same artist

Now the question I can never really answer because BOTH are simply AMAZING songs with an awesome beat and epic vocals I’m sure others can decide!

So I ask your opinion:
Which is better? And if possible why? Thanks

OMG, that IS a THOUGH one!!
But I would have to say “Remember The Name”- I really love it!!

First of all, Second to None was written by SOB and ONLY in 2007. Just cause Mike is featured in it doesn’t mean anything. The credits go to SOB and only them. Mike just rapped on it.

And if I had to choose, I’d choose Remember the Name cause I believe there’s no other 1st song in any album out there describing what’s to come next and introducing the album and band better. Simply a masterpiece. (Not the Second To None isn’t. It’s my fave song along with Mr. Brown from SOB)

Sorry did I not make that clear? :S I fully realize STN came out 2 years after The Rising Tied! Sorry!

Wow that is an amazing aspect! I totally agree with you there. On the other hand Second To None has no FM album to follow it up with so who knows maybe STN would have had the same feature IF it had come out with an album too!

Remember The Name is my favorite ^^

Got a reason bro?

LOL, just pointing it out  But I’d love to see SOB back in the game anyways

I like Remember The Name more, because the beat is just sick and the lyrics are dope. Second To None is also very cool, but I like the whole package of RTN more. Fort Minor put so much various elements like the violins, fast and slower parts in it, that the song is one of the best rap songs I know.

But there’s one thing I like more about Second To None: Points Of Authority w/ Second To None [biggrin]
The intro from the '07 PR tour was so fucking sick, it almost rocks more than the studio version of RTN.

Both are unique with their own special blend of hip hop but I personally prefer Remember the name. Mainly cause its more catchy, it succesfully combines the rapping of the two Styles of Beyond vocalists and Mike shinoda as well as having that amazing beat.

The option is harder than my final exams… lol [lol]

Ok … it’s → Remember The Name
the beats… the verses are so freaking dope man! how the strings and violins collide with hip hip beats… come on! it’s something rite??

Remember the name all night long!

Indeed. I always found it one of the more intersting and non cheesy intros to a hip hop track.
