It basically said that someone gained access to stuff on their servers and whatnot, then suggested changing passwords. Anyone else get this? =/
Also, could this have anything to do with that whole password expired deal that happened a while back?

I received the same email today as well didn’t use any of the links in it . So is it real or a scam?

The GroundCtrl data base has been hacked in March already! And at this time I received an faked email from a HQ staff member. It was very clear that this was an email from an hacked account.
But therefore I’m very wary when I got the email yesterday. I think it might be a genuine message from HQ. But I’m not sure. AND I’m not ok how they handle the matter!
Normally when you get informed by any company, that something went wrong and you are ask to change password, you are asked to do it on their well known website and not by following a link in that message. That’s very unprofessionell and I just can warn everybody to do so!!!
It’s so easy for hackers to send you an email that looks like it comes from an email account you know. For example from LPUHQ. And it also easy to put a link inside the mail that leads you to a website that is faked and that just looks like the site you are expect to be. And than you “change” password. But indeed you just give your password on the fake website to the hacker!
GENERALLY: When you are asked to change password, DON’T follow the link from an email to do this! Do it on the website you normally use.
Again: If this mail is genuine, it’s very unproffesional from HQ! I’m not satisfied!

So seems that either ground has been hacked again, or it’s just a precaution.
I received one too but the funnything is that i had received one back in March too and I had changed my password. Apparently their safery system is not that strong
