5 years ago today, I saw the RHCP live. For those that don’t know, I consider Flea the greatest musician of our time, That night, he said a lot of things but what stuck with me is this:
“Support live music whenever you can; all music, every kind of music. It’s the voice of the people, it’s the voice of love, it’s the thing we have, the thing that brings us all together!”
I’ve always liked that Reanimation poster. The LPU store had it for points at one point and it was sold out by the time I had enough

I agree. I love them! I got to meet them a looooong time ago (maybe 2007 or 2008?). My friend and I stayed after their show for TWO HOURS in the back parking lot waiting to meet them. My friend was my supervisor at work at the time and we both had to work that next day at 6 a.m…we got about 3 hours of sleep and both luckily got sent home early before the end of the shift.
