Random Thoughts Thread: The Reunion!

It took place in a bar, so I did what I could with no flash (and the people obstructing my view during Against Me!)

The first band was called Fea. Towards the end of their set, their vocalist fell on the stage and received a nice gash on her leg.

The second act was a guy named Tim Barry. He played an acoustic set, and even jumped onto the floor for a song. He is a tall dude.

In an interview about a year ago, she stated:

You’re known for your tattoos, but why did you recently have an entire arm inked black?

Laura Jane Grace: It was a really, really painful eight-hour session in San Francisco. I didn’t originally intend to cover up every single tattoo, but once they started one thing led to another. To be able to wipe the slate clean is oddly refreshing. It’s black now, but the black will fade, and I’ll be able to tattoo on to the black. I don’t ever want to stop shape-shifting.

I linked to the interview but yes, she was born Tom Gabel. She came out in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2012.

Their last album was more of a personal album, titled Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Not only is it a great piece of lyrical work, but the music is awesome. Then again, they’re Against Me! Their music’s always been awesome.
