Depends…

  • sandals + no socks in summer (this option would be preferable but it’s not because of the weather), no socks at home
  • spring/autumn - kind of short socks that cover feet only. Hate them but sometimes there’s no choice
  • winter - long socks - bare ankles look so miserable when it’s cold. (Also a men’s suit with no socks or with short socks looks ridiculous - but some style advisors think it’s cool).
  • ankle length socks - i can’t even think of them. I had one pair in all my life and that’s enough.

I’ve found that my footware contirubtes way more to foot warmth than socks. If anything, socks for my make no difference to warmth, long socks just serve to annoy my legs. I only wear long ones with my boots, but even then, I keep them as low as possible.
